Well, technically that helps. It could push OP to end the friendship if they know it will never recover if they do nothing about it. Or it could push them to try and talk about it with the friend.

No, but I'm hearing it's a lot better than past RF games! I should check them out one day, but I have so much to play..

Few things have a 'guarantee.' Doesn't mean you can't hope or look.

That was quick. And that is awesome.

With the best will in the world, I can't find this creature anything but extremely menacing.

(Anonymous) 2013-10-04 12:27 am (UTC)(link)
uhh, why are you even having to think about this? you'll hate yourself if you don't take the new job, you need to get the fuck out of dodge.

I can only assume that you're posting this because you're going to take the job anyway but you want people to tell you that you're not being a heinous bitch first. you have my expressed permission to be a dick and leave the school scrambling to find a substitute. they have five days, my school has had to do the same thing in much less time than that. they'll be fine.

Whenever you have a chance, do! It's an amazing installment. So far I only have good things to say about it. This is a series that truly gets better with each release.

What other works did she plagiarize? Other people's fanfic or other sources?

Re: AUs - Tell me about yours

[personal profile] kelincihutan 2013-10-04 12:29 am (UTC)(link)
I like canon-flavor AUs, where the plot takes a different twist somewhere. I have a short set of Bat-clan AU fics where the comics meet the DCAU about half-way.

Right now, I am scribbling on a Marvel-MovieVerse AU. I don't know that I'll ever publish it, though, but it's a Coulson-centric sedoretu thing. Which is weird, because I have never written a ship-centric anything before, and the first one I start in on is a weird four-way kinda deal? I have a strange brain.

Anyway, so there you are.

But there IS a guarantee that if they shop at Men's Warehouse, they're gonna like the way they look.

It's very one-size-fits-all, too. The reality is that writing is a rag-bag of different talents and motivations that produces a huge variety of work. I really hate when people act as if all real writers spend all their lives writing full-length imaginative novels and all the poetry, comedy, short stories, plays, erotica, journalism, academic work and nonfiction around us just appeared by fucking magic.

Get out while you can. The economy is shit and I all but guarantee you that the school can find a quick replacement if they want. There are always unemployed teachers out there.

sexuality without labels

I liked this thread last time, let's do this again!

Describe your sexuality without using any labels.

Your racism disgusts me. Clearly you know nothing of how a five headed person lives and are relying on those old idiotic stereotypes.

I mean, I'm not voting for him either, but that's because of his stance on farming. I don't want people like you on my side.

Not that it really matters. Government is a joke. We need to put our faith in a real organization, like StrexCorp Synernists Incorporated!

well, i agree with that, i'm just saying the language of "it will happen eventually" is always kind of weird to me

I'm not a English Major...but I'd be surprised they thought that even if they hadn't made it to freaking college. If you read a lot [and if your plan is to become a writer you *should* be reading tons - and not just "classics"], you'd have to have noticed that stinkers become popular fairly regularly - and even books that are decent that become super popular generally aren't really the best books written in their time out there.

Yeah, I mean the fact that it's open ended is good in that they want to leave it up to each individual to decide characters appearance, but of course folks had to decided one fanon was better then the other.

I second that it's possible your friend is either introverted or possibly has social anxiety issues. The way you describe your friend, that's me...or at least, how extremely extroverted people have described me (seriously, your text is almost verbatim for what my grandparents said to me after I visited them once). If you don't know how to interpret 'introvert language', I may come across as quite rude, bored, and ungrateful, when I'm anything but. There's just been a miscommunication somewhere along the way.

If you still value this person's friendship, I'd say explain to them that you were hurt by their behavior. May turn out this was all a miscommunication. May turn out this person is indeed an ungrateful jerk. Either way, knowing is better than festering in friendship limbo.

You wouldn't be the first one to read the transcripts instead of listening to the podcasts. Go read and be free, OP!
