I'll agree with this. Especially the idea of people being butthurt by what they don't see. It's like, I get that a show or movie isn't the show or movie you want it to be, but that doesn't make what it IS inherently bad.

It's an acquired skill. You actually have to work at the balancing act. I have the same problem and still struggle with it. I'm pretty good these days with acknowledging the issues and still being able to enjoy the whatever, but every now and then I just can't. So I understand where you're coming from.

The obverse is also true: It's okay to NOT like things that are problematic.

It's also okay to take a cold, hard look at something that Tumblr thinks is "problematic" and decide that they're full of shit.
