That I hate the term "real gamer" and all things that try and keep people from identifying as gamers. And that I generally don't use the term gamer.

Idk, I've heard of them before, but I honestly don't care one bit. I generally don't participate that much in gaming community beyond actually playing games and chatting about them a bit.

I like 'em. And ftr they are "real gamer girls". They are a bunch of geeky women who are friends irl and decided to make a parody video, and then kept on making them. They seem like fun people.

So maybe I'm being overly defensive or just have read too much bs about Team Unicorn, but your topic comes across as really aggressive and troll-y. Since you've only just discovered them you're probably not aware of it, but they get a ton of shit and people trying to call them out for not being "real gamer girls" or "fake geek girls" or whatever. It's a problem. Because apparently you can't be attractive, talented, and a gamer/geek.

But if you'd look into who they all are, they each have a history within the geek community and are geeks and gamers themselves. They're all friends with each other and each have their own projects outside of this one thing they decided to do together.

So maybe you didn't actually mean anything by the "real gamer ladies" comment, and maybe the "..." was just you trying to space your comment oddly, and if that's true and it was just an honest question to gauge interest in this new cool thing you found, then to answer your question: I like them.

This whole topic is stupid. Why is it that no one ever shames and harasses the idiots who either heap attention on hot girls standing somewhere in the vicinity of nerdy things, encouraging people to take advantage of it (as humans are wont to do), or shriek and whinge at girls in their precious hobby, encouraging women to find a sense of solidarity and safety in all-female groups?

Is there no logic left in the world? How do you not see that:

Singling women out to torment as if they were a unique group worth of special attention --> women feel singled out and as if they were a special, unique group --> forming all-women groups to avoid torment with an emphasis on being part of a special, unique group
