Who here likes dark chocolate? That's not a metaphor for anything. I mean, dark chocolate. Or are you a strictly milk chocolate person?

I hate the stuff. Too bitter. I'm here eating a bar that's at 41% and cringing because it's too bitter. But I spent three-fifty on it and I hate wasting money. Ugh.

I like it. It's white chocolate I cannot stand. It tastes overwhelmingly of milk to me.

I like it. But it has to be good chocolate and I have to be in the mood for it. Sometimes milk chocolate is too sweet. Also sometimes my body likes to reject milk chocolate but it can always handle dark chocolate.

I love dark chocolate. My favorite is around 85% but 70s and low 90s is good too.

I like up to around 70%, though in smaller doses the higher you go. Don't try high cocoa content mochas, though. My sister got a 60% dark chocolate mocha with espresso, and was literally shaking trying to cross the road.

The same sister and I bought a 98% bar once, from the same chocolatier, just to try it. We could literally only eat like a shaving of it at a time. Our uncle, who can be a bit of a hardcase sometimes, came in and decided he was going to prove how tough he was, and took a great massive bite of it. He promptly gagged and downed half a litre of Coca Cola trying to wash the taste out. Best. Moment. Ever. We were saying 'I told you so' for the next year.

I definitely prefer milk chocolate. I can only handle I little dark chocolate on it's own, I do like it as a coating for fruit like strawberries or cherries.

I adore it. And 41% is pretty mild. I don't find it bitter until almost 70%+.

This might be odd, but I don't like high-quality MILK chocolate (solid). It tastes too rich, too tongue-coating and overwhelming. It's definitely not good to bake with.

I like both -- to a point. Once you get up into 70+% cocoa, I can't anymore, but more moderate dark chocolate is great.

...like, you can get the same truffle in milk and dark chocolate versions, I go for the dark chocolate. And MilkyWay Midnights are FAR FAR superior to regular MilkyWays.

Highly prefer dark to milk. Milk tastes too cloying, and too much of the shitty low-end chocolate is just milk. But I can't take anything too dark either, 70-80% is the best I can do.

Currently obsessed with Lindt dark chocolate truffles. The more I eat, the less I can go back to milk chocolate.

Milk chocolate is not really chocolate. It's milk chocolate, a pale imitation of the real thing. Dark chocolate is where it is at.

I like every kind of chocolate I've ever ate. Milk is probably my favorite, closely followed by white, and dark is last; I still love it though.

Milk chocolate makes my mouth burn like too much lemon juice. Idk. I like my chocolate around 70%, occasionally up to 85%. Then again, I like bitter in the right amounts. Especially with something sweet to balance it, like caramel.

Instead of suffering through it why not melt it down and either sweeten it, mix it with something sweet, or dip something sweet in it? Save it to crush up and sprinkle on ice cream or a pan of brownies?
