Are you trying to claim the moral high ground? Do you think as long as you aren't personally responsible for creating racist content then there's nothing questionable about why you enjoy it or excuse it?


BTW this is not as edgy as you think it is. Try acknowledging your fave is problematic and only liking it for the problematic parts or something.

The problem is what's "problematic" is highly subjective. I don't like watching shows I think are sexist/racist/homophobic/whatever, because that's really offputting and unpleasant to me. But there are a lot of shows that I think are perfectly fine (or even positive representations) that are problematic to others.

This, like all other social justice issues, is not nearly as black and white as SJWs would have you believe. Just because someone screams "PROBLEMATIC!" about something you like doesn't make it objectively true.

I just don't really give a shit, at the end of the day. I'm fine listening to criticisms of the things I like, but expecting me to get some kind of "moral high-ground" feeling for acknowledging issues, or to even care to go looking for them, is just not something that I'm going to waste my time doing.

I watch things for personal enjoyment, not for picking apart and whining about so I get a morality high.
