That's exactly how I feel. I became a Star Wars fan 11 years ago and loved the original series. Then I moved on to the expanded universe and it was just - horrible. Utterly disappointing. The Thawn Trilogy wasn't so bad. And the Dark Empire comic that came afterward in chronology was okay. But then, set 7 years after ROTJ, Kevin J. Anderson's werid pointless mess ushered in the increasingly stupid, seemingly endless fodder that filled the expanded universe. It was painful to read.

And George Lucas put the nail in the coffin with The Phantom Menace. I think that's the day my childhood ended.

23. I could actually go into a discussion on the theories of crime and punishment used in Phoenix Wright. From what I've gathered, they seem to use the neoclassical theory in PW crime and punishment.

That link has a decent discription of classical and neoclassical.
Unfortunately the punishment system for those using classical and neoclassical crime theory was normally pretty harsh, as they never took the criminal's mental state/other circumstances (like being forced into doing something) when committing the crime into account.

Classical and modern classical criminal justice actually do take into account mental state, just not to the degree of complete excusal of guilt for psychological reasons a la positivistic or left realism schools of thought. Duress or self-defense murder are still valid.

PW court isn't really anything except bullshit and has STATUTES OF LIMITATIONS ON MURDER WTF

I mean, seriously. It was kind of cute when they hinted that Sarah was into Grissom way on back in Season 2... but when they became canon it just stopped being cute for me. I see more chemistry in Willow and Warrick (I honestly hope to god I'm not the only one), and I've been shipping Nick and Greg almost since Greg's first appearance in a scene with Nick (I'm both hoping they become a canon pair and dreading it with a passion, seeing what's happened on the GS front -_-)

Omg yes. I went to an anime club meeting at my old high school, and just about everyone laughed in my face when I said I still loved Sailor Moon. They even thought I still loved the English dub. I don't care how well-animated a show is, it needs to have a good storyline and likable characters to back up that pretty animation, and sadly most shows today don't seem to have that.

And Dragonball is awesome, btw. I miss it.

35. MARIA-sama ga miteru got boring fast. I hoped, as a romance, it would have some decent drama along with it... but the only drama was really the angst that characters got over right away. Repeatative storylines and a plot that went no where really dragged the show down. I don't understand why it got a second season. :\

40. That show ruined my pronounciation of that name, too. XD On another note, Simon was the only character in LOTF that I actually liked.

It makes me shudder, honestly. But, Jorga is leaving the series sometime this month so the canon GSR might come to an end. Unless they kill her off, in which case it could turn into the eternal OMG WE MISS SARAH show.

15. I'm 24 and I'm a fan! (Though, I first read Outlander when I was like, twelve, haha.) But I think you're right in that most of the fans are older -- everyone else I know who loves it (including the woman who sits in the cube next to mine) is (are?) in their 40s at least. But... JAMIE! <3 <3 <3 This really needs to be made into a movie.

(I kind of got mad at the books after Dragonfly in Amber, though, so I'm not that up to date, haha.)

29. Billy and Rebecca! I totally 'ship them. If only because they're the only two Resident Evil characters to be like, "Let's work together so we don't get killed!" instead of "We'll have better luck if we split up!" Plus, they're adorable. In my head, they totally hooked up as soon as she got out of the mansion. And found him somehow.

But what I really wish would happen in canon is Claire/Leon. ;_;

i like them for those reasons (whyyyy do they always split up? worst idea ever in any scary situation. have horror films taught peoping nothing?) and also because they're not like "OMGGGGG WE'VE ONLY KNOWN EACHOTHER FOR X AMOUNT OF HOURS BUT ILU!!!!!111111 *DIES*" like as much as i dont mind things like clair/steve the corny factor KILLED THE MAGIC. XD
