Teen Wolf Thread!

I don't want to talk about The Big Thing so close to the top of a post, so first let's talk about my favorite thing of this episode: Coach Bobby Finstock! I've always liked him, and I've always been afraid for him, being that he's role is so tangential to pretty much everything. But this was the first episode where I *maybe* started to wonder if he knows more than it seems. It was just something about the way he talked to Madeline (after the "insane asylum/nut house" lines, which, I'm sorry, were hilarious to me). But regardless of what he knows or doesn't know, it was really nice seeing him get a Big Damn Hero moment. (Sidenote: Netflix is sending me an Orny Adams DVD, and I can't freaking wait.)

I also feel it's all but confirmed that Parish isn't exactly normal, what with that line about feeling called to Beacon Hills.

Now, on to That Thing That Happened.

So...Allison died. It's weird, because I like Allison and I'm sad to see her go...but...I don't feel too broken up about it. Because, as much as I would have *liked* them to show that your first love is special and important, but it's probably not your only love, but that doesn't mean the friendship has to desintigrate, I get it from a story telling perspective. And it's not like Allison wasn't a fully realized character or like she existed just to die. She had a good arc. I'm really glad she got that last scene with Argent, though. In hindsight, that probably should have been a neon sign that she'd be the one to bite it, but...I honestly kind of forgot anyone would die for the most part, and when I remembered, it sure looked like it was going to be Isaac.

On to some speculation: I think season 4 is going to have an angry Isaac joining up with Peter and Malia and maybe one of the twins in a little pseudo pack that will then make a run on Scott's pack and his power. I'm not sure how anything else fits into anything, though.

Allison died but c'mon, who are the writers fooling here. She's going to come back in some shape or form. Maybe something undead?

And, oh, yeah, Parish is a monster. I wonder if his name is a clue though.

Totally agree with you re: Coach. He tossed some less-than-awesome words around, but he was *awesome* with Madeline, and in the end, he was the Big Damn Hero. He's been a fun distraction semi-foil for all three seasons, but I have to agree, too - he seems to have a bit of background/knowledge that might make him something else.

Parish is for sure *not human*, or someone like Deaton, or something. I do hope he's not evil, 'cause the Sheriff doesn't need that, but yeah...totally.

I'm sorry that Allison is dead because honestly - she had a lot of story left. He could have killed the twins or her dad or Scott's dad or *someone else*, even Kira's mom, but Allison? It's fucking gratuitous and annoying. All the permanently-dead characters on that show have been women, and it's getting fucking old.

She had a good arc.

Allison really didn't have a good arc this season. She was replaced with Kira and then sidelined with Isaac for 3b. The most badass she was this season was the episode before this and then her quick battle-death scene.

I do think you're right about Parrish, but I don't know about Coach - he may have actually just been trying to do what he thought was right (and because that attendant guy was a total douche).

So, what are we guessing which monster the cute new cop is? He says he was drawn to the town and we've been told after Allison, Scott and Stiles did that bathtub jig, they lit a beacon to all sorts of supernaturals.

I'd like a vampire. It's about time this show had a vampire. Yeah, it's a cliche. But since this show has gone the horror route, it would be nice to see a scary, non-campy vampire on television for a change. Also, Being Human is ending and I need a Pscyho!Aidan substitute. So, bring on a vampire.

Jeff Davis has already said there won't be vampires in Teen Wolf, but he also went "ask me in five years, heh." Let's see how long that lasts, shall we?

I don't even know what to say... I'm just sad. And disappointed.

As soon as we heard there was going to be a major character death I assumed it was going to be Allison because it seemed to fit with the 'Allison is a 2nd nogitsune' theory and I completely bought into it. (It made so much sense to me, what with the Kate hallucinations, her losing time, the phone messages, etc. It all seemed to add up.) And...now I'm even more upset because I feel like the show didn't do much with her this season besides pair her with Isaac and that sucks. It's not that she didn't have good moments this season, she certainly did, she just felt a bit ignored to me; I hate that Crystal wasn't given more to do. Then again this show has too many characters to begin with and there just isn't enough time to give everyone the screentime they deserve.

And, again, if Crystal wanted to leave that's one thing, but she didn't need to be killed off. They let Jackson escape unharmed. I get "She's an Argent, she lives by the code, she wants to protect her friends more than anything" but I guess I'm just bitter. If Jeff had really wanted to bring her back later he could've thought of a reasonably good excuse (or a shitty one, this is Jeff) to leave her alive and move her out of Beacon Hills. YOU KILLED OFF YOUR MOST COMPETENT CHARACTER!

blerg. I didn't mind the Scott/Allison aspect of her death too much because I did like them as a couple and felt that 'in the end' they were always going to be together, but I'm so upset she didn't get to have another moment with her father. She should have. At least she had already talked to him earlier in the episode... (That was the moment when I knew that she was probably dead. I was in denial, thinking maybe the fake spoilers would be true and the death would be Isaac. NGL, I wish it had been Isaac... Not that I don't like Isaac, I just don't think he's anywhere near as interesting a character and he doesn't tie into the plot as much as Allison does.)

I did love Coach this episode, loved Scott's concern for Stiles and Stiles' conviction that the nogitsune must die NO MATTER WHAT, loved Lydia sassing the nogitsune, but...I'm just so blah about the show right now. I was 100% sure Derek wasn't going to die (Derek is my #2), and now I'm just like...well, maybe he will, and IDK if I'm going to be around next season. Especially if they keep adding new characters. I'm just bummed about everything.

And Parrish, he's probably evil. I don't want him to be (he's delightful), it would be more surprising if he WASN'T, but his line was shady as fuck.

IDGAF about Peter and Malia or the twins, but I can't see Isaac sticking around next season; I have a feeling his actor might want to go do other things too. Chris? Maybe they'll keep Chris, but ugh, I'm not looking forward to that character arc.

Pretty much. I love the characters, I love the fic, but at this rate, the canon is speeding into Supernatural territory.

That said, the girls of Teen Wolf (plus Boyd) must be having a hell of a party in the afterlife. (except Kate. Kate's not invited.)

I really hope Parrish isn't evil. Supernatural creature? Sure. The line about being drawn to Beacon Hills wasn't subtle. Not all supernatural beings are evil in this universe, so I'm crossing my fingers.

Any of the main characters dying would have made me sad. But there is so much more they could have done with Allison, despite what Crystal said in the interview.

Can I cry at you over Allison? Because I need someone to cry at over Allison. Like the speculation was there and I was buying into it but at the same time I was really, really hoping that it wasn't true THEN IT WAS AND IDK WHAT I AM FEELING ANYMORE. Just lots of sadness, all the sadness(I've like marathoned the whole bloody show in like two-weeks and I fell so, so in love with Allison AND THIS IS WHAT I GET). As you said if Crystal Reed wanted to leave that really is her choice, and I completely respect it, but maybe they could have written her out without killing her? Jackson is still technically alive and I'm sorry to anyone that likes him but he does not fucking deserve it.

And agreed about Scott/Allison, like I didn't mind it(and tbh in season 2 I thought they were pretty cute before it all blew up) and I was completely accepting that they were the show's OTP, they'd fight then get back together and get married and have like the most adorable kids, with Stiles being the best uncle ever and now... Idk I am just so bummed...

(Omg if they kill Derek I think I would actually quit, like man I don't even care. You have me worried, I am upset and worried)

I'M SO MAD. I hate they gave a nod to Parrish being supernatural, I hate that Allison died before the twins (GOD FUCKING DAMN IT), I hate that Lydia got trapped in another sexually suggestive non-con situation, I hate that Agent Dickface is still around.

I liked that Isaac said he didn't want to do his homework and that Scott was like idgaf to Agent Dickface. I'm there was more but I can't remember anything else. :\a

I fucking hate how Lydia is treated. She's a banshee, but all she does is scream all the fucking time and be rescued. She's so damn smart, but since s3, I feel like that's been forgotten and now she's just a damsel in distress. Also Peter needs to diaf and I hate how they've swept his treatment of Lydia under the table so he can just be a sassy uncle. Like no. Fuck you.

Lydia deserves more. Allison deserved more. All the women deserve more.

I realize that the actress wanted to leave the show but I'm still bummed about Allison's death. Why couldn't it have been the twins? Oh God, why? They could have at least died along with her or something.

I do want to say though that I'm incredibly happy about all the Scott/Stiles slash fodder they've put into this season. It's the ship that should have sailed instead of the S.S Sterek, goddammit. I also love how butthurt the sterek fans are getting because the show isn't catering to them

I can't tell you how happy it makes me that the Scott/Stiles ship has started to really take off lately (it's always been around but it used to just kind of be on the fringes of fandom). I still sort of like Sterek but I've read so much of it that I've gotten a bit sick of it (same thing happen with John/Sherlock)

I'm angry that female characters keep dying on this show, but useless characters like the twins and Isaac (who I love), are still alive. Peter can also die; no one cares you fathered Malia or the Sargent guy.

I know Crystal Reed wanted to leave TW, but I feel like Allison's death was anti-climatic. Allison's character had so little to do this season, so the moment her and Chris had a moment, I knew she was donzo. Crystal sold her death, but I'm afraid that by next episode her death will be forgotten in favor of Stiles and the nogitsune.

I had high hopes for 3B, but I forgot I was watching TW and how it disappoints me in the last episodes of the season.

Funnily enough, I feel the worst for Lydia. Allison was her best friend, they became super close over the course of the show, it was a perfect example of a complimentary female friendship and stood out from all the boy/girl and boy/boy relationships everywhere else, and now Lydia's all alone. God willing they won't make Stiles her booby prize. I'll really quit this shit then.
