Hmmm, and here I thought that considering their track record it could actually be a decent movie and her acting wasn't horrible. I also happen to find the character interesting. I would like to know more about her.

But, like, I'm dying to have a good superhero movie about a woman. Period. It doesn't have to be Black Widow. Why would I want my chances of that ruined by this hypothetical movie becoming a flop? Because you know it would then just be used as ammo for, "Women leads don't sell."

Anyway, the point of my rambling is, why would you want something to go wrong because you're annoyed by some people on tumblr? You are aware there's more to fandom than them, right? Or heck, people not in fandom at all. Seems kinda mean-spirited.

Given how likely a Black Widow movie would be a cloak and dagger spy extension of CA:TWS, I don't see how it would be bad. Black Widow may not be the most interesting superhero when it's the Avengers line-up but put her in a Michael Chricton spy setting and she is golden.

This is one of those things I just can't agree on. IMO she was both excellently portrayed by Scarlett (she's as good a match as the rest of the cast) and had an extremely important role in Avengers. I find her far from boring and think she was one of the strongest parts of Winter Soldier. If the studio is smart about this they could have a hit on their hands.

I also don't get people's hatred of Renner as Hawkeye, but...again, whatever.

Black Widow and Hawkeye are great characters. Yeah, they haven't been nearly as interesting in MCU as they are in the comics, but that means they have potential to be better. Disclaimer: haven't watched Winter Soldier yet.

I can't say I agree but I know where you're coming from. Scarlett Johansson comes of flat in her acting. She can only play herself. Her Black Widow isn't terrible but it's not the Natasha Romanov we deserve.

Jeremy Renner, however, is god damn awful and is a shit Hawkeye. He needs to go away tonight and never come back. I would go see a Scar-dow movie. I would picket the Renn-eye flick.

I like Scarlett's portrayal. She has good chemistry with the boys and her whole stick is kinda the unfeeling assassin with a heart of silver.

I think that if a Black Widow movie had a Winter Soldier vibe, it would do really good imo. Her and Hawkeye have good chemistry, so bring it! Flop or no flop, I'd go see it.

Sorry, I can't agree that she's a horrible character or boring as fuck, personally she was one of the things I really loved in TWS, seeing her bond with both Steve and Sam was brilliant and I'd happily pay to see her get even more of an expanded role(as well as Hawkeye who could do with more screentime in general to flesh out his character). And tbh I want a Black Widow movie as well as another female lead superhero film, but hey I'm greedy and I want it all.

I feel like you made this secret just to cause wank, but if we're addressing the subject of a Black Widow movie? I seriously doubt it would flop. The MCU is a monster of a franchise, and I really doubt they're even capable of making a flop right now. Maybe if they waited until the end of the superhero trend to make it, but even then I have my doubts.

Aww. I liked her. She played cool and detached well enough, not brilliant-but I enjoyed the fact she was a kick ass female character, who was neither the love interest nor sacrificed on the altar of pretty white boy angst.'Tho I should own my hypocrisy, I spent most of the movie gazing fixedly at Chris Evans' eyelashes, in 3D no less. Worth the price of admission.

Let me tell you a thing

I bought a ticket to see Cap 2 because Chris Evans. I love Chris Evans. I love his face, I love his voice, I love his smile, I love his dorkiness, I love him and could easily spend an entire two hours staring at his face. (As a matter of fact, I have. It was a very slow day at work and a very fast day at YouTube.)

And I spent most of the movie not looking at him, because Scarlett Johansson and Anthony Mackie were such incredible actors and the writing and editing in the movie made it so compelling. I really hope there's a Black Widow movie because it's about time that people like you (assuming you're not a troll) learned about how interesting that character is.

Hey, MCU producers, if any of you guys are on this site, my money is ready. A lot of it.
