Ham off the bone tends to be cold here, as I said. Gammon is hind leg, and can be served hot, but that doesn't have a bone in it.

Now I want gammon and mashed potato and raisin sauce :(

That's a weird opinion.

I stopped watching when they fridged Reid's girlfriend. They might still have interesting cases, but I can't get over something like that. Other shows kill off love interests as well, but I can't forgive them for introducing her solely to kill her off in a way that would hurt Reid. :/

Somehow I could never stomach Plague Dogs. Like, it's a good story, but it's environmental message is just way overblown. Like the humans working for a facility with the acronym ARSE. It was just too much. Even when I was in my early teens I could never finish it because of that. :/

Yeah, pretty much this (I don't smoke myself and don't like being around people smoking it, but that's because I have asthma and am quite fond of breathing - I have no problem with it in principle).

Carl Sagan regularly smoked pot for decades. Clearly he was just some idiot stoner with no hope in life, right.

My Inner Life is amazing. Favourite version is a dramatic reading by manwithoutabody. "PLEASURE!"

Thanks.

Not such violent mood swings, but yeah I'm a full blown nutcase, I'm afraid. Meh, antidepressants help more than not.

Hm... well I suppose I do already have a jaunty theme tune.

Now I'm thinking of Loki's pert bumcheeks as he sits on that cold throne. Mmm, nice.

Re: Wall art

Get a cheap canvas frame and cover it with fabric, using a stapler. It's easy to buy new fabric when you want to change. You can make really big art this way pretty cheaply.

I buy local fabric when I go on holiday and turn them into art to remind me of good times.

I only like reading noncon occasionally, when I'm feeling frustrated and low. But when I do want to read it, I really, really like it and I appreciate the writers who put their stories on the net. I imagine it takes some courage to openly post noncon. I've done it myself in the past, but I stopped because I found it a difficult thing.

So thanks for the rec, and I'll save it for later.

Huh. Interesting. thanks :)

Eh, this is why if I ever do a webcomic, I'm getting the entire thing (or at least one story arc) done before I post it online.

As for hiatuses, I agree. I was following a webcomics by a couple artists I follow on Tumblr ('Broken' and 'Lost in the Vale', I believe they were called), and then they suddenly went on hiatuses (the former ended up getting hired by Boom! Studios for pro work; the latter... I'm not sure what happened after tablet problems) and then subsequently dropped off of my 'must read' grid altogether. And I gave up 'Ava's Demon' cold turkey during this current hiatus, because I realized the story was still going nowhere 800+ pages later. I'll probably binge read that in the summer (unless the author goes on yet another hiatus), though, because I hate myself like that. lmao.

tbh, between all of those and past comics I tried to get into -which again, met the "permanent hiatus" fate-, I'm pretty much done with the webcomic medium altogether. =/

Yup. The idea that pot = waste of life is so freaking stupid. I don't smoke either - or drink - but i'll pick the stoner over the drunk any freakin' day.

Except that pot and alcohol affect people very differently (and different people differently), and i've never in my life met a pot 'addict'.

Heee. So silly.

Well, other than selling pot? Nope. They're not organized rings of thieves or *also* making meth, or kidnapping babies. They grow pot in the woods/in their basements and they sell it for cash money 'cause our economy sucks and it's a hell of a lot better/safer than making meth (which people also do around here) or stealing oxycontin.

haha me too. I mean not right away but as soon as I could. Then promptly forgot about it, it was so useless. And now it won't let me forget...

I haven't yet seen season 3 or 4 but from the first seasons, I considered Joffrey to be one of the characters the show dealt with the best. He's still an absolutely terrible person but by the TV show was able to present moments where you could really understand how he came to be that way, since he was a psychopath who was spoiled rotten by his mother and doesn't seem to have had much relationship at all with the man he believed was his father.

And yeah, Jack Gleeson is amazing.

(Anonymous) 2014-04-21 12:09 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't think there was any chance of that happening.

You mean fourth worst, right after those and the worst show on television: Big Bang Theory.
