Hey folks, long time no see. Work commitments have made it so that I am rarely around in time for the f!s post when it first goes up, so there's been a long pause in grinding towards Nightmare Mode.

That said, a bunch of you mentioned when I floated the idea the first time that you would be too busy/it would be too cold/etc. over the holidays, so perhaps the break is for the best!

Just curious: if I posted updates/challenges much later than the post usually goes up, would anybody still be interested in following them?

Sooo I know it's odd but it's flooding here which has made me wonder what kind of boats* ppl like? I guess I'm fond of sail yachts but I've always wondered about catamarans.

I used to be an avid kayaker but so expensive...

I assume most people have a favorite or two (or don't like AUs at all). What are some of yours?

I LOVE crime/mob boss stories. I think because they generally have dark but not evil versions of the characters I love. I have even read fics in fandoms I am not in because of it.

I also like werewolf AUs which are shockingly rare in most of my fandoms. I need some damn fanfic where the serum makes Steve a werewolf damn it!

So, for those of you who are, like me, socially awkward and communicating with others doesn't come naturally but you've maybe been around in fandom for awhile, what are some things you've learned?

Like, tricks to commenting or replying to commenting? How to start up a conversation at a con? Where to find people to talk to online and what kind of ice-breakers you start with?

It can be anything.

If there's anything you had a tough time with but figured it out, I'm sure there are others who'd love to know your secret.
