So. There are a few pairings I like in my fandom that involve male (immortal) teenage characters. Naturally, there are a few posts that pop up these pairing tags calling them pedophilic (youkeepusingthatword.gif). I ignore these posts, and if necessary block the user and move on. But in this fandom, there is also a very, very popular f/f pairing that involves a female (immortal) teenage character and a female (immortal) adult character. The fandom consensus is that this pairing is wonderful (and I agree!), while the m/m pairings that I like get relegated to dingy shame corners. Honestly, I don't mind. I like rolling around in my dingy trash corners. But... basically, my secret is that I think it's odd that no one bats an eye at the popular f/f pairing... but there is no way to bring this up without making it sound like I'm trying to start shit.
