F!S Throwback Thursday

[personal profile] thursday_anon 2015-12-31 11:42 pm (UTC)(link)
December 31st, 2007: On this day, F!S's first year came to a close. 2007 was a dark and chaotic time; a time before each secret had its own thread. Look upon it, ye mighty, and despair.

December 31st, 2008: This year was just as dark and chaotic as the year preceding it.

December 31st, 2009: Starting in 2009, the comments section became much more orderly. (Anyone remember wizard rock?)

December 31st, 2010: Taking the tired, overused phrase "raping your childhood" to a whole new level, we have Barney the Masturbation Dinosaur.

December 31st, 2011: This just in, dyeing your hair is bad. Also, remember when scans_daily was still awesome?

December 31st, 2012: If I had a dollar for every time someone said "I'm tired of seeing [insert actor here]'s face!"... well, if I had that many dollars I wouldn't be me, I'd be Bruce Wayne. By the way, which sort of media do you prefer? British, or AMERICAN?! (FUCK YEAH!)

December 31st, 2013: But what are your thoughts on the Manic Pixie Dream Girl archetype?

December 31st, 2014: I wonder if "pretenting" has anything to do with the infamous Tent Peg Statement? Probably not. It was probably just an innocent typo. Or was it...? (DUN DUN DUN)

December 31st, 2015: This is it. You're here, living it, right now. Happy New Year's!

Oh my word, I am so glad we have threads for each comment now.

Agreed. I came to F!S after the shift to threads for each secret and I felt so frustrated when I went checking the older archives.

I always love these F!S TBT. I wasn't very involved with FS until we got each secret its own thread.

Oh my fuck I had completely forgotten about the Tent Peg thing.

Thank you for reminding me; I had an extremely good laugh.

I hope the Twin Peaks fan from 2007 is pleased it's coming back!

So so glad we don't get that many secrets anymore and each secret has its own thread. I did so many driveby comments back then, but never returned because too bloody hard to re-find it.
