Wasn't Steve against the accords before Bucky was even involved in the whole mess? He refused to sign them before T'Challa's father was killed (thus bringing Bucky into what was going on).

Also, Tony's argument was "Sign the accords now and we can negotiate on the specifics later." That is one the stupidest things I have heard. Someone who owned his own company should know better than to sign a contract AND then negotiate.

Plus, for being so worried about kids being casualties of them saving the world, Tony had no problem recruiting a teenager under false pretenses and taking him halfway around the world without telling his guardian.

I'm not sure any of those adjectives strictly apply to this character in this situation for ..well, a lot of spoilery reasons.

In non-spoiler territory: she's a fandom darling because she's a good parent on a very low income trying to do right by her children despite some clear past mistakes. The things she does in her flashbacks are more indicative of the personality she normally has than the one she's sporting in an extreme crisis situation, imo, but you won't have reached those by the fourth episode.
