What AYRT is trying, not very subtly, to imply is that you are a homophobe. Take no notice, it's the standard shipper schtick.

On the case of Kirk/Spock you have not seen someone defend a crack ship until you've seen the Dean of a Law school do so: http://www.alternateuniverses.com/judygran/footnote.txt

Re: Thor: the dark world spoilers

Ok, I take it back; I wouldn't mind if Loki dies a dignified death . I loved TDW anyway because I love any instance of Thor showing up and being Thor, but the jack-in-the-box Loki thing was redonk and not in a good way.

WHO COULD KILL STEVE ROGERS THOUGH

WHAT KIND OF MONSTER

seriously what would I even do if that happened, besides drown in my own tears; that would be the ice sliver in my heart that turned me into a giant surly ice statue of cold rage and misery

(I would probably still watch Marvel movies though, ngl)

Their scenes together are always hilarious, no matter how few there are. They have mad chemistry. I like that. So I'd like to see more of that. I also like porn. And fanfic gives me the opportunity to mix great chemistry with porn. /kanyeshrug

op

(Anonymous) 2014-05-08 07:07 am (UTC)(link)
A little of both really.

(Anonymous) 2014-05-08 07:20 am (UTC)(link)
You sound like a newbie and a "cult of nice" follower.

Give it a few years, you'll be in the same position they're in and you'll look back on this secret and sigh at how naive you use to be.

Re: Family Fandom

(Anonymous) 2014-05-08 07:33 am (UTC)(link)
Not a bizarre experience, but my sister is introducing her little girl to Buffy and wants us all to watch so we can be One Big Buffy-Watching Family. So I am about to start watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer for the first time, so that I can talk about it with my niece.

The two things my whole family traditionally geeks out about together are The Lion in Winter and The Blue Castle. The Lion in Winter is our Christmas Special, and back in 2009 or so I ended up reading some passages from The Blue Castle out loud to my family and they all loved it and read the whole book and now we're all fans.

I have gotten about half my family to join me in obsessive love of War and Peace. The rest of them will take some time.

The Fly is the patron saint of selfcest. OP, you're alright.

Re: Bread

(Anonymous) 2014-05-08 08:16 am (UTC)(link)
Not really. Almost every Brit has access to an Asda - the chavviest supermarket. Asda does own brand bread like the anon is looking for. Those areas of the UK without a supermarket nearby could hardly be frustrated about the lack of something in a supermarket as the OP....

Which leads me to American.

I didn't mean anything by it. Just fascinated. Sorry if it came across rude.

Re: Bread

(Anonymous) 2014-05-08 08:19 am (UTC)(link)
...Except the OP can't and is also, apparently, American.

You're reading way too much into my comment, anon.

Re: Bread

(Anonymous) 2014-05-08 08:27 am (UTC)(link)
If it would make you feel better, here's a list of some of the UKs shopping inadequacies when compared to America:

-fashion, we have smaller ranges available and your awesome styles take a full year to peter down to the UK
-makeup, ours might as well be in the dark ages in comparison
-haircare products available, allergic to a mainstream ingredient? Don't bother looking here for it, you'll have to get anything alternative shipped from the states anyway!

But we do have multiseed bread, much good may it do me. ;)

That is a perfectly good reason. Naked an wet!Craig is always a good thing.

Re: What shows have you started watching just for a ship?

[personal profile] caerbannog 2014-05-08 09:05 am (UTC)(link)
I ship my housemates* and live watching game of thrones for their reactions (especially when I know something they don't)

*theyre married, to clarify.

Re: #HoennConfirmed

(Anonymous) 2014-05-08 09:14 am (UTC)(link)
Put it this way, anon. They can't be worse than X and Y.

(Anonymous) 2014-05-08 09:44 am (UTC)(link)
As someone said above: Measured against the incredibly ridiculous, convoluted storylines, time travels and AUs, this really doesn't even come close to being the "most ridiculous" storyline.

Re: Bread

(Anonymous) 2014-05-08 09:55 am (UTC)(link)
You could try baking your own, if you have the time to spare? That way, you can throw in the stuff you like and leave out the stuff you don't? (Though I don't know about the whole-grain flour situation in American supermarkets. I'm from the country of sourdough and whole-grain breads, so not getting it anywhere sounds kind of terrible to me.)

I turned down an extra shift so I can arrive at a proper human hour maybe probably. It's exactly like someone offered me money not to go to your beautiful movies, and I was like, "fuck you." YAY ♥

Re: Fandom Secrets Reading Patterns?

[personal profile] cloud_riven 2014-05-08 10:31 am (UTC)(link)
I do that summary thing too! Except I make it short or about a word long so that I remember what it was. And it's in a sticky note for windows.

The one I have open right now from some other day (because there were no secrets today to comment on) reads like this:
    1 hair
    2 sandman
    3 pb
    6 wilton

I remember back when secrets didn't have their own thread, I would write out the number and comment I planned in a .txt file as I went. It was pretty easy to forget what I thought I had to say about anything while reading a chunk ton of these things.

Re: Fandom Secrets Reading Patterns?

[personal profile] cloud_riven 2014-05-08 10:34 am (UTC)(link)
I read in order, and skip whatever looks boring or completely irrelevant or potentially spoilering something I might want to check out later. As I read them, I mark off which ones I want to check the thread for (or comment in), and then I open every thread in a new tab.

If there's no comments, like if I'm here early, I just check back later or dick around in the GC. GC is always and must always be last for me though. It don't feel right any other way :U

(Anonymous) 2014-05-08 10:38 am (UTC)(link)
oh my god yes.

And if people say they are leaving unfriending / unfollowing them should not cause even more wank.

Jerks

(Anonymous) 2014-05-08 11:12 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah I've got a friend who ships this and the fic for it is fun to read but there is NOTHING in the show to support it. They barely speak to each other.
