It's almost like it's Minekura Day!

2 - It sometimes gets lonely shipping het in the Saiyuki fandom. GonouxKanan is adorable (as is HakkaixYaone), I definitely agree, and their story is one of the most heartbreaking in the series. It just seems like *everyone* and their dog writes 58... I just need a little variety.

3 - WA slash seems so obvious, but in that way, I figure the porn would bore me. I almost prefer the teasing and closeness they have, without adding any sex into it.

39 - Saiyuki started me on to the actual JTTW (I'm only partway through Vol. 2), and I wish more of the fangirls had read or heard of the original source material. However, as that clearly shows, you have so many different incarnations to choose from. I'd say just draw them however they appear in your head.

20. omg DearS~ I never read the manga, but I love the anime. Not more than Chobits, but I enjoyed the series a lot too. D: And Ren is adorable! ♥

But anyway, I don't really see Phoenix/Edgeworth as strong as some people do, I guess. I don't mind the pairing, but it's never at the forefront of my mind when I'm playing. Gumshoe is my favourite, and I adore a lot of the sub-characters. Phoenix, Edgeworth and Maya are all wonderful, but I don't invest much time in them.

Anyway. I can understand that whole friends =/= lovers stance, in that, yes, it does get a little grating when people say 'they're friends? That means I can pair them!' when there really is little basis for a romantic element. That said, I do think that Phoenix/Edgeworth is one of the examples where it's quite easy to draw further depth from their interaction, where it's not unbelievable to take friendship and have it evolve into something else. There's something for fans to work with there, there is a dynamic to explore, and good for that!

It's just not as explicit as I think some people like to say, perhaps. It can get a little frustrating >:

Pretty much. I don't think it's canon by any stretch of the imagination (though Edgeworth -> Phoenix MIGHT be, but that's another story >_>) but it's one of the friendship pairings that I can honestly see the subtext and the potential for a relationship. Most Phoenix/Edgeworth fics are awful because they... well, really don't cultivate the potential as much as it NEEDS to be.

Neither of them are going to just fall into each others' laps and break down sobbing to admit their love. It has to be very carefully crafted to be believable... but in the rare cases it IS, it's great and wonderful... but there's all too little of that.

6 - Hahaha, I feel kind of the same way. I try not to say anything to people that obviously ship them in other relationships--since it shouldn't be any skin off my nose--but it just seems...strange if someone doesn't at least acknowledge romantic feelings from Edgeworth's side.

7 - No, no, no. Viola is mine. Tigre doesn't deserve her! ...what? >_>

15 - OH YEAH. HATING PEOPLE FOR ENJOYING SOMETHING YOU DON'T. ALWAYS A BLAST.

20 - Pretty much anything is better than Chobits. And Ren is better than Chi. I don't even like DearS...

35 - Yes. Out of all the scenes in that sequence, that was the one that got me sobbing.

36. YES ABSOLUTELY AND I LOVE YOU. They're making a movie for 'the Color of Magic', and although I'm happy, because HEY IT'S A DISCWORLD MOVIE OMG YAY, Color of Magic isn't very good. And Monstrous Regiment is fantastic. I read it before I read the rest of the series, and it didn't confuse me. So it should be made into a movie, STAT.

28. I've never been able to like Katara/Aang. I don't know why. I like the characters individually, but together... blurgh. I'm glad I'm not alone XD

13.) Drop the fandom. Don't go to communities and don't bother with any fan-fiction, but it sounds too late for that. Sometimes people in real life and or on the internet can ruin things for people; it makes things tainted, it's hard to explain, but it happens. You can't watch/read/etc without thinking of annoying fan, part of fandom, and then it just gets warped and you get uninterested.

P.S. I don't think Supernatural is an amazing show. I think it's largely MST3K worthy, full of bad acting, corn and cheese in huge amounts. I watch it to make fun of it; I love it for the badly written cheesefest that it is.

There was somebody on /m/ who hypothesized that if the rumored Viral-as-freedom-fighter-over-timeskip OVA materialized, it'd show his catgirl wife as somebody who he failed to protect and died. And we were all "D: WTF you somehow managed to make Viral's dream more depressing than it already was. D: GOOD JOB."

I concur so much it hurts. I knew it was completely unlikely, but I was still annoyed when the Colour of Magic was chosen as this year's TV movie following the success of the Hogfather.

I'm just not much of a fan of the Rincewind books. :|
