The really funny part is that it really IS creepy to us and our YYH-fen group of friends. We met over a TV show; he is completely loyal/loving to me, even if we're both a little bit evil and/or nuts; he hangs onto whatever I say, but without really being a complete yes-man; and neither of us are too fond of humanity and we tend to root for the bad guy in fandom. The only difference between us and them is that I only have one personality (although people tell me I'm so complex and moody that I might as well have seven, LOL), and that he has had girlfriends in the past. (I'm the first guy he's dated EVER.)

27. This is a little off the topic you've stated, but... Back in the day I was a hardcore 1xR 'shipper and never caught flak for it, even though I couldn't stand Relena. Maybe I was in the wrong part of fandom? Though to be honest, my squick issues with yaoi were borderline homophobic in those days. Can't say I give a flying fuck about 1x2 even now, though.

25. by far my favourite series too, yes. Sadly, the fan work is... well, 800-something fics on the good ol' Pit aren't the telling signs of inactivity, but... quality > quantity, or something. I guess because the series got its closure that people can't exactly progress with personal projects beyond an "insert completely random sexual enterprise here" level. Or Sues. ._.

Godchild is also a pretty good piece of hers - though I'd say AS is better.

Yes, it's very much definite in its ending, but that's why AUs are there. Although granted, it probably won't be as amazing as the canon.

I've been meaning to get into Godchild too, I've read some parts, but I really prefer reading stuff all in one go for emotional impact, especially with Kaori Yuki.

26. I don't know you, but my heart goes out to you. That isn't a stupid emotion to feel at all, it's part of grieving. My father was a huge fan of Harry Potter, and he died a year ago tomorrow. I cried when I finished the seventh book because he never got to find out the ending and I did. Your secret makes me cry again, because I remember exactly how that felt.

24. I know exactly what you mean. Syaoran/Sakura is unbearably sweet, they're made for each other perfect together etc etc, but moments in TRC where Fai and Sakura bond can be so touching or compelling that I want to ship them as well.

The best part is that you can do both. Syaoran/Sakura is the king canon ship, but I would still read Fai/Sakura. I might even have written it, if I'd been into the fandom.

Angel Sanctuary is my most favorite series, too! I wish there was an actual fandom for it, because I've never rped for it or anything, either. (The sad thing is, I was reading it when it was still coming out in Japanese, and there wasn't any fandom for it then, either! DX)

1. Oh, I know. Especially when they render a canon character OOC. With friends... well, I don't know, if it's a canon character, I'd ask if they're sure he or she would do such and such or say such and such. OCs... that's a whole other issue, heh. :/

2. I hear ya on fandoms, but sometimes you have to try and wade. I did with Harry Potter, and actually found a number of close friends. Other big fandoms, however, it's much harder. (Heroes, for instance - there seems to be no general area of Heroes fandom where people aren't all about worshipping Sylar and, even more annoying, the actors like Milo Viglowutty - who cares how hot he is, I want to discuss, you know, the amazing plotline?)
