09) Merit-worthy works can definitely come out of fandom. It might be characterized by its wank and obsessions, but being part of something with a less academic reputation doesn't automatically discount your intelligence. At least it shouldn't.

32) Yes. Yes, yes, and MORE YES. I don't care if that means I'm in denial -- I want Obito back. He's the only worthwhile Uchiha around, and he has to be the dead one. Sucks.
44) I'm not far in the Bleach canon at all, but Orihime bothered me that way, too. If she did anything worthwhile, I might give her a second chance, but if she hasn't done anything that far into the series, the possibility isn't looking too good.

Just because I don't like a POPULAR/"HOT" yaoi pairing doesn't mean I'm a phobe! Especially where teh people who like the "hot", non-canon pairing call the canon pairing "faggots". Real open minded there.

Okay, even though you chose a rather arrogant way of saying it and agreeing with you immediately paints me with the same brush... yeah, I've been in that situation, too. My advanced creative writing class (in university, mind you) was a total waste of time, and I spent the majority of it writing my own characters in porn so that I could stomach the poetry that was really a bad country song in lack-of-disguise.

The worst part was that there was a pair of anime fans in the class ('Have you heard of Fanfiction.net? I have an account there!'), and one of them wrote the most ludicrous attempts at original fantasy I've ever heard read aloud... and was praised for its originality by everyone else but me, who ripped into her for bastardizing her piggybacked mythology of choice and getting some major concepts completely wrong.

And I brought my originals and my fanfics to class. And I read them. And I waited in silence as my classmates tried to formulate critiques.

And my head hit desk when someone asked if the 'crossover' part was when the elf fucked the werewolf.

I just needed to get that off my chest. Again. Reading the secret brought it up.

22 I LOVED JUSTIN! Turbo was fun. (I just missed Billy lots, but Justin was awesome)

27 My first yaoi manga. I think it was a wonderful read from beginning to end :D. (Plus, they were pretty)

35...Whaaaaat?! Pavlov was all about classical conditioning and did tests on animals and such to see how they would react to the sound of a bell (to which they'd salivate lots.) I'm not even in Psych and i know this... People call Lenalee/Kanda a pavluv relationship?

And psychologists and psychologist students everywhere collectively head desked.

42 It's an excellent city (Montreal), I could give you a gajillion reasons to move there. So long as you're alright with our winters (-5°C to -25°C sans windchill factor), things should be good. And knowing French would be an asset. *pimps Montreal some more* If you've never been, COME DURING THE SUMMER--there are A LOT of festivals going on during the summer. And I mean A LOT.

Yeah. I love that city. :D (McGill also has a great medical program too, of course you need the marks to get in. If you do seriously consider it, good luck!)
