Anita, I think, just ended up in too big of a position compared to what she expected and had little contact with gamer culture (or whatever you want to call it) beforehand. That isn't to say she hasn't made mistakes, but I think anyone in her position would have. I don't really care for her videos or follow her at all, but I don't have any ill will towards her either.

I finally figured out what about Sarkeesian that bugs me. She's the Pat Robertson of the gaming industry. Always twisted everything to fit her planned theme even when it is false, never offers any real solutions just criticisms, plays the victim at every turn (while shutting down any and all criticisms on her views whether or not they are valid. All will be silenced.) And never misses a chance to ask for "donations" from her followers. Never ever misses a chance to ask for money.

I grew up within a stone's throw of CBN, Robertson's original channel, and had to deal with him and his followers and now I see the same thing in Sarkeesian.

I hate her and she (along with Quinn) is probably playing a small factor in why the gaming industry is fucking collapsing on itself, but no one deserves rape/death threats.

However, her constant fishing to play the victim and milking it for all it's worth is not helping considering sometimes it looks to me as if she is deliberately fishing for them. Because goddamn, I remember back in the 2000s Jack Thompson got it worse than her but no one was rushing to white knight that moron.
