Abolish all religions. I think humanity has proven it's not mature enough to handle that not everyone believes in your personal skydaddy.

It doesn't solve the immaturity problem. They'd just find something else to use as an excuse, because an excuse to try and make other people do what you want them to do is what religion is used as, most of the time.

I would agree with this, with the caveat that all political and economic systems should be abolished, as well.

Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Kim, etc. are all responsible for far more death in the modern era than any religion could hope.

You'd be surprised at how religion is actually only one of the many issues that instigate conflict. I wouldn't even put it that close to the top of the list.

I don't think it'd instantly bring about world peace but frankly I think we're too advanced as a species to believe in dogmatic religion. Spirituality, whatever, but holy books, magic/mysticism, and religious law that masquerades as morality? let's grow up, humanity.

Insist on secular schools so people learn to live together from a young age.

Forcibly redistribute wealth and education.

Some people would lose out, of course, but even if they tried to fight back, there would be a huge segment of the world whose lives were markedly improved ready to push back.

I think this would lead to war in the short term, admittedly.

But in the long term, I can see it bringing about peace.

Definitely kill people, but not nearly as many as other folks are saying. Given, say, Green Lantern's abilities, I'd just do decapitations. Literally.

If you're in a position of power, and you're using that power in a way that is counter to world peace, planetary survivability, and human dignity, your head comes off.

Dick Cheney? Head.

Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo? Head.

Vladimir Putin? Head.

Ismael Garcia? Head.

Those six Waltons with more money than half of America put together? Six heads.

Kim Jong-Un? Head.

Rupert Murdoch? Head.

Yes, these guys will just be immediately replaced by some other motherfucker in the power structure, but if the new motherfucker is just as bad as the old motherfucker? Head, motherfucker. They'll get the point before long; these aren't guys who commit crimes out of desperation or need, they're assholes looking out for what they see as their own self-interest. Put their neck on the line and they'll straighten their shit out tout de suite.

Given my current abilities, level of education, living situation, etc? Panic. Given unlimited resources/godlike powers? Everyone could heal wounds and sickness instantly, purify water and air, teleport anywhere that isn't a private dwelling, assemble food/clothing from whatever was freely available, and no one could be touched with an intent to harm or coerce. Treaty terms and laws intended to stop exploitation of people and/or environment would be enforced rather than worked around. Anyone who could think of more ways to improve their lives could use similar reality warping power so long as everyone else could do the same, and so long as their innovations would not harm people or their environment.

Presumably, people who previously made their livings fighting wars, preparing food, healing people, making clothing, or transporting people or goods would shortly try and rip my head off.

Become the overlord of the world and rule with an iron fist.

Then the only conflict in the world would be between the rebels and my forces. If I won, then world peace, if I held them at bay then we've reduced the amont of wars in the world to 1. that's not bad going.
