Recent onslaught of Sweeney Todd secrets- CRY MOAR. Blah!!

39- You're not less of a fan for liking the movie and you shouldn't let the elitist fans get to you. It's not even like this movie is getting panned by critics and the general public. It's been very well received. It's a good movie.

38- I'm a big fan of his too but I sort of keep quiet for the same reasons. I just think he's a great film-maker. *shrug*

38. I just wanted to say I know what you mean. My neighbor gave me The Nightmare Before Christmas on VHS when I was about 5, and I watched it literally almost every day for about a year and a half. I'm pretty sure you can't be a five-year-old-goth-emo-squeeing-fangirl. 06. I've read two of the books, but I've never seen the TV show. Everyone always spews praise about it though. This is probably the first time I've ever seen anyone say anything negative about it. Anyway, the books are nothing special. The writing style is so childish. The only really good thing about them is the characterization.
And book two? Can someone say "LOL I RAN OUT OF IDEAS BUT I WANTED MORE DEXTER. REHASH TIEM!!"

13. I'm pretty sure t.A.T.u.'s manager made it pretty clear while they were still fairly popular that he thought up the "girls in love" thing as a gimmick, long before either one of them got a boyfriend and/or pregnant.

23. Woooow at the picture. But aside from that: Wouldn't it make more sense, then, to say "I dislike non-canon pairings" rather than "I hate slash/yaoi," since the first is truer, especially considering there ARE some canon slash pairings? IDK, if that's how I felt, that's how I'd say it.

Not just for the Sweeney-ness, but for bringing up that you're used to other adaptations. That's the thing no one seems to care about when something's turned into a movie. It's a totally different medium. Changes will be made. I, personally, love Douglas Adams' take on it--every time he wrote a different version of Hitchhiker's Guide (radioplay, book, tv series, movie), he delibrately made it different because he didn't see much point in doing it the same way every time. A movie is not a book. Nor is it a play. Things will be different, and...it's okay.

Okay, I have nothing intelligent to say about the secret but omgassassins ♥ I always see people talking about Sweeney Todd and Into the Woods and stuff but aaaaaah Assassins!

I think that's from the revival instead of the original, but that's okay, Cerveris is pretty fine too. (although Garber is indeed the pinnacle of sexyfine.)

Sweeney Todd is my favorite Sondheim musical but god, Assassins is so hotttttt in such very wrong ways. I always feel bad admitting how sexy I find the characters in it, which is why it's a secret XD
