47. You know, I always hated Axel/Roxas because Roxas... never acknowledged that he and Axel were friends. All the "they were friends" stuff came from Axel himself. I might be forgetting some scenes, but all I remember is Roxas fighting Axel, Roxas ignoring Axel when he left the Organization, and Roxas pretty much not batting an eye when he died, and then proceeding to smile up at Naminé during the ending despite the fact he met her for a total of maybe 20 minutes.

I was wondering if Axel was actually deluding himself and it's one of those one-sided "THEY'RE MY BEST FRIEND" things where the other person barely notices you exist, and it was only in FM+ where I got any confirmation that Roxas felt the same way. Now they're making a game pretty much confirming "yeah, guys, they were friends."

I know it's a tangent, just something that always bothered me. Of course, now I know that they were friends and I am now fine with the pairing, since it's pretty much gonna become canon anyway.

Never noticed that. Good point. Still, I guess one could argue that Orgy!Roxas is more prickly and aloof that when he was in Twilight, so maybe he was just the personality that openly brushes off but inwardly is thankful? Or something. I dunno.

I can see a friendship, albeit a strained and awkward one. Which is part of what's amusing and kinda cute. I just don't see them...together like a lot of people do.

3. We're "worse than Nartuards?" Hardly. KHR! fandom is probably the most sane anime fandom I've come across. No ship wars, no character bashing, equal love for het and yaoi (though the fandom could use a little more yuri, w/e) and most importantly, no BNFs parading around screaming what should and shouldn't be written in the fandom (to be even more correct, we really don't have BNFs at all.. correct me if I'm wrong. We could have them, it's just that everyone is so nice I don't see it.)

Don't like the squeeing, don't read it.. um duh. I tend to skim over fangirling on my f-list (unless it's about a fandom I'm in as well, then I join in ;D) and I've relegated to putting my fangirling behind a cut to appease those on my f-list that would prefer not to see it. It's not that hard of a request to ask.

(And honestly, for someone like me (I dunno about everyone else), I'm gonna squee over it for the sake of squeeing. First anime fandom I've come into before it died.

3. Don't worry. In about a year or two, all the Reborn fangirls will have moved onto something else. After all, Reborn is a Jump series. It'll eventually keep going in circles while developing very little plot, and its fans will get bored of it. It's the fate of just about every Jump series. They start low, peak with fans, then drop down again. Right now Reborn's in its peak. In a year I wonder if anyone will even remember Reborn :p

I, I have that Xigbar/Demyx icon, and I think it's the saddest thing in the world that she dropped off the face of the internet. I don't want her to not get credit for her work, but I love the pairing and I want to have icons for it, and her art is so beautiful -- it's made so many people on my flist happy. :\ I'm sorry...? I've already written one essay for that community, and am working on another right now, so I can speak from experience when I tell you not to worry about it. You should relax, try to have fun and ask the mod for more time if necessary; she's a nice person :)
The way I organise things for my manifestos is like this:

Section 1: Introduction. Give a brief explanation of the setting your fandom takes place in - summarise the story so that old fans can have their memories jogged, and people unfamiliar with the fandom won't feel totally lost. Go into as much or as little detail as you think is needed.

Section 2: Character One. Profile the first character in your pairing. What sort of personality do they have? What's their background? What are their likes and dislikes, their special skills and goals in life, their most important ideals?

Section 3: Character Two. Same thing, different person.

Section 4: Canon. Catalogue the most significant and interesting events between your pairing. Again, go into as much or as little detail as you like, and you can provide quotes, images/screencaps or links to YouTube clips for key moments (depending on what sort of media your fandom is based on).

Section 5: Fanon. Taking into account everything you've said so far, explain to the readers why you, personally, think your pairing works so well. How do they complement each other? Are there any obstacles to their love, and how might those be overcome? What do you think the future holds for them, bliss or tragedy? Speak from the heart, and remember everything that drew you to this pairing in the first place!

Section 6: Recs. You may or may not be able to include this, depending on how large your fandom is. Pick out the very best fic and art for your pairing; don't just list anything that features them, regardless of quality.

You may or may not want to follow a similar template, but I hope I've been helpful to you somehow!
