I haven't kept up with it but I've never been much of a Thor reader.

But I think it's one of those things where yes, it's cool to have a girl Thor but at the same time I wish more female Superheroes we already have were getting attention and it's also kind of sad how many female supers are essentially a spin off of the male lead.

The people who complain about this title always post with arguments that make it clear that 1) they don't read comics and/or 2) they're sexist. Kind of like when my relatives complain that they're making Captain America black and I have to point out that it's been done before.

Not that they're racist, they just care about comics so so much.

I wish people didn't feel so qualified to critique comics they haven't read, based on some panels they saw online.

It's not even worth it to engage the discussion since at least half of what is said is simply misinformation and if you spend a lot of time correcting it, you find out they don't even care that what they said don't match the comics - they just want to hate on it.

I know someone who whole heartedly agrees. I haven't read the comics myself, but I like the idea of her. My only issue is the whole "Look? IT'S A GIRL THOR. ISN'T COOL THAT IT'S A GIRL?! GIRL!!" type marketing that was going on. And of course, the OTT reaction to that by both sides.

I'm having a great time with it. I always wanted to like Thor comics, but simply never, ever could. I like the MCU version of Thor quite a bit, but ... never in the comics. This is the first time I've actively liked a variation of the series.

Well, except the Frog!Thor. I thought Frog!Thor was hilarious.
