Although I too was very disappointed about the fact that they never got it together when they were clearly a match made in heaven, and I was furious about the fact that he was shoved together with Seven, I think it's important to remember that Chakotay didn't exactly ditch Janeway for her. He spent the best part of seven years waiting, and hoping. Ultimately it was Janeway's fault for stringing him along without ever really committing herself. :(

OMG!!!! Janeway/Chakotay = OTP.
When the show was still on, I had the episode "Resolutions" (best J/C episode ever) recorded on a VHS and watched it so much that I wore the tape out!

In my opinion, Chakotay/7 came out of NOWHERE and the pairing had no chemistry or depth. If you love Janeway/Chakotay, you should read some of the voyager novels by Jeri Taylor (she was a big J/Cer who worked on the show in the early seasons). Two that I can remember off the top of my head are "Pathways" and "Mosaic".

P.S. I think Janeway is 100 times more beautiful and strong than Seven any day...and I'm sure your Chakotay will be a new and improved version and agree! =P

48. Um...I think the hate is because I, at least, have never seen her be anything but a kind of unnaturally plastic "gorgeous," nor has she ever once seemed smart or witty. She just seems like an entitled brat who likes getting off on having a secret because she knows that it ensures her a job. I think she's flat-out boring, and the fact that she was always going to be on the team made the whole "Survivor" game even more irrelevant and unbearable.

My hatred for her has nothing to do with whether or not she's like Cameron, but her own failings as a character in my book.

I know the chance of you seeing this under the seven pages of comments is close to nill, but...

There are more YGO:DM subs out there other then the Hong Kong ones. [ I still don't get why people complain about them so much; they're really not that bad, but... ] I recommend checking out janime.info's forum; there are two or three dead groups that have subbed a good 40 episodes, and a new group has recently started up and is producing some really amazing subs at an amazing pace. <3

#1. OMG this would be the bestest thing that ever was totally...just...YES! :D! Now I'll be praying for it to happen because that would be so goddamned HOT can you imagine the bloody battle between him and Ichigo NGH NMF intriguing.

#11. I couldn't watch the show after a certain season so I wasn't caught up on like others, but my friend was and was very very disappointed by it. However in the immediate sequel books, the author amends the Chakotay/7 pairing, I'm unsure of where Janeway goes with it, but C/7 was and is a mistake that the author ammended.

However I do have some advice, honestly five years and you're still crying? I understand getting emotionally involved in a story I do, but I seriously think it's time you seek some other help to get you to realize that fiction=/= real life. Sure it's a very real fear that if you fall in love someone "hotter" or "better" will come along and swoop the guy away but if you approach any serious relationship without that kind of hope and trust that he'll see and want you for you then you could sabotage it (certainly remember he didn't pick the hot blonde did he? He picked you.) And you shouldn't let the fear of what might might (and probably WON'T happen) keep you from living your life. I could go outside and get hit by a car tommorow. Will that stop me? No just as transferring your fears and blaming them on a fictional television show won't help you. *Hugs* Take a chance sweetie.

#39. I like DT for his own little quirks but 9 is my favorite doctor simply because I prefer him. I just wish it wasn't shoved in my face that there's something WRONG with me for not worshipping the ground 10 walks on. I mean people need to remember the Doctor is the Doctor is the Doctor, he evolves like any being even if he changes faces and ages, ultimately it's still the same guy and it's hard to not miss what was before but I think it's.

I was going to finish with, it's hard not to miss what was before but I think it's not a good idea to wish an ultimate wank showdown between 10 and 9 fans. I mean will that solve anything? No certainly not. It'll only divide the fandom more then it already is.

40. What ship name in the history of ever has made total and complete sense, really? It's a brand type thing, a way for people to familiarize themselves through labels. I don't use that shorthand myself, it used to bring me up short in conversation every time, but people throw it at you often enough to make it passable.

48. I never thought 13 was that much like Cameron, but I just find her so incredibly boring. Further viewing might change my mind, but that's the case for the present.
