I just would like to be able to adjust body shapes in all directions for both genders and not have a "slimmest" version for males that's still bulky and a "bulky"version for females that is still kinda dainty.

I feel you, if I'm going to play a beasty type of character I want both male and female versions to be the same level of beasty. Not looking for super-pretty ladies when it comes to that, I just want claws and teeth.

Female Worgen in WoW are okay-ish for this, I wouldn't call the females sexy but they don't look as wolfy as the male counterparts either which is disappointing, especially since their alpha models were much more wolf-like in appearance.

The Charr (cat-person) race from Guild Wars 2 is pretty good about this. The females are just as animalistic and bulky as the males, though I'm sure the males are a little bigger. Still, definitely not dainty catgirls.

I'd love to see more fantasy races play with all the variety of sexual dimorphism in nature. Why not, say, bird-people where the females are earthtoned and the males are technicolor?

Hyenas are so awesome. I remember reading about Toni Helfer's hyena friends and how she was afraid of them at first, but she fell in love with them.

Well I will say that when Bioware finally introduced female Qunari, they did pretty well. It probably helps that it also came with a Qunari player character, which meant a broad range of customization which implies, to my mind, a broad range of looks in the race. I have grown to view fictional races who all look practically identical as being badly developed.
