Stalkers, harassment. The sheer amount of cyberbullying I've seen on this comm in the last year, that still goes on.

Seeing what these assholes say to people pisses me off. How can you bring yourself to post those things, repeatedly?

I just...how can you hate a person online so much, so obsessively they you do this for a year on end? What the fuck is wrong with the people who do this. Wishing suicide on someone repeatedly? Come on man. That's sick.

Honestly I think those people are 110% worse than those they hate.

jk, not that anon, and a lot of the blatant trolling he gets crosses a line. But he also acts like an asshole who lumps anyone who disagrees with him into his group of hateanons, so he's not all roses in this either.

I agree with you 1000%. I don't mind a good troll, I don't begrudge people the opportunity to be overly bitchy or confrontational with a stranger on the internet to let off some steam, but the obsessive hate and stalking is just gross. Get a life, people. Get some common decency.

My work places smells like a skunk. My yard is destroyed from replacing that stupid sewer line. Like, are they supposed to leave a 2 foot pile of dirt instead of tamping it down? D::: At least they hauled my poor tree off.

And I've been stuck at the same weight forever. But I've started working harder on that because I want to lose 20 more pounds before my trip.

None of my friends will go to a show with me. There's only one stop on the tour in my entire state, and it's going to be in my town. That NEVER happens. No one EVER comes here, and now someone is, and it's actually someone I'm interested in. And no one will go with me. :(

My family. My mother will not stop harping on me and not actually being helpful. And my sister, who hates our mother and rants to me about her all the time, when I called to rant instead tried to lecture me too. Like, I listen to her when she needs to rant, but she can't do the same.

I fucked up with some minor paper work and lost almost all my financial aid, probably. (I am in contact with people trying to get help but I only have one grant remaining atm so like...)

I only have one to one and a half years left in university and I can probably finish that with the money I have in savings+working, but if I can I will be broke as fuck when I graduate and I was already unstable as fuck last semester without having to worry about this new money problem...

I don't even know. I'm just really angry at everything and everyone and dissatisfied and pissed off. And I don't know why. Like it doesn't have any relation to external stimuli.

I think it's probably one of those situations where it'd be a major depressive episode if I wasn't on SSRIs. But that's not really a scientific explanation.

I haven't been sleeping well. I work second shift, so being up until 2 or 3 a.m. isn't unusual, but save for maybe a week spread out over the past month and a half, I've had wicked insomnia where I either can't get to sleep or I can't stay asleep.

Last night, for instance, I slept for about an hour at 3 a.m., but then I woke up at 4, too mentally exhausted to actually do anything but unable to sleep until about 10. After which I was dead to he world for 5 hours, and if this weren't my weekend I'd have been screwed because I slept through my alarm and didn't wake up until an hour and a half after I would have been expected at work.

I've actually been late to work three times for this very reason (once by an hour on a day that I was the boss). So I need to figure that shit out.

less of a rant and more of a strange ramble

So yesterday I saw a lot of discussion about male MCs (and male authors.) I also had a discussion with it in a writing comm elsewhere about how many male MCs there were. Then I saw the thread today about Mary Sue and one comment really got me thinking.

"Group 1, the "calls every female character a Sue" group, was prominent a while ago." (-Anon)

Mary Sue accusations were prominent and only a little while ago coming up with dozens of Mary Sue subtypes and Mary Sue sporking communities and the general "Don't write a Mary Sue!" was prominent flavor of the era, like social Justice commentary is this era's current flavor. . (I remember a while LiveJournal community dedicated to accusing canon sues).

And naturally these accusations are more commonly aimed at female characters. In the past it seemed as if anything a female character could do besides be a background character got her a Mary Sue accusation.

Maybe one of the reasons that you see so many works with male MCs and works with lots of male characters (one not all of course) is that the past era of overzealous Mary Sue accusations made some people online at the time reluctant to try female characters.

I sometimes suspect that some people I've seen/dealt with in my writing circle who are complaining about not enough female characters and too many male ones were the same ones years ago telling young authors that their female characters were Mary Sues that should be killed with fire. and if so, I can't help but judge them as they talk about how it must be sexism/internalized misogyny that not enough girls are writing female characters.

Plenty of things, but right now I only feel like complaining about the smaller ones.

Like my period making me feel achy and awful, and not being able to use my computer for internet and worrying if I'm going to have to return this new modem or switch plans again, and the fact that it is supposed to get up to 104 one day, and right now next week looks like it's going to be all 100's. I fucking hate this gross weather! I want to go for a nice walk in the park but being outside is horrible right now and even working out at home is miserable because once I'm through with my hour I'm sweating something fierce. I hate sweat, ugh.

Give me Winter already, tbh. I don't mind putting a coat on. Coats are cute.

There are too many guns in my country and they are too easy to get. There are murders every day and nobody cares. Nobody knows what to do about it either, me included. It's frustrating and sad.

I hate when something bad happens here and people in other parts of the world just use it as excuse to shit on America. I'm tired of people shitting on America. Not saying we're perfect or anything close, but it's really depressing to have everyone on the internet tell me what a horrible person I am just for where I was born and the fact that I don't hate it.
