so is this a headcanon that Fluttershy is Native? someone drawing her as Native for fun? appropriation? I'm not sure what is going on here.

Is it considered Not Okay to draw someone in Native traditional wear if the artist isn't Native? (Is that an accurate depiction of the garb for a particular tribe? does it make a difference if it is?)

All of these are honest questions. I honestly don't know a whole hell of a lot about the social politics surrounding Native Americans and appropriation. I'm curious as to what exactly is going on.

(Also, like someone else asked: how do you know this person is friends with a pedophile? I want the deets come on)

wow, I have to agree with Veth - they are reaching pretty hard on some of those. A lot of it honestly sounds like a sheltered kid who doesn't know better, and some of it isn't even this Horrible Thing this other blogger is making it out to be.

The comment on Native Fluttershy did make me go "...really?" but again, it sounded like Zamii meant well and didn't realize they were putting their foot in it. And I know this might piss some people off but hostility really isn't a useful response.

I didn't see a lot there about the pedophile friend thing, just one broken link?

ETA: ok, he's a pedophile (or an ephebophile as the case may be, creepy either way) but is she friends with him? Does he have any remorse? I'd need to see details before making a big ol' judgment call and to be honest I'm kind of inclined to not poke my nose into something like this on the internet when there's always so much you can't see.

This blog is everything I hate about tumblr SJ. People trying to justify their pet peeves with an artist by reaching for SJ arguments, even if they're far-fetched. The fact that Homestuck and Steven Universe fandom think that drawing a fucked up ship makes someone abusive is bad enough. It's nothing more than reaching for reasons to justify dehumanizing someone and hurting them. For people who try to act so attuned to abuse culture, they don't get when they're participating in it. It's fucked up to watch.

Wow, though -- that list definitely reeks of artist grudge more than anything else. Like, I feel like I need to make a counter list to explain everything wrong with that list (bad faith interpretations of everything that comes out of this person's mouth, gender bends = transphobic?, ship/kink policing like WHOA, using the word shota = endorsing pedophilia?, race essentialism (Indian people have to have big noses and black people have to have afros??)).
