Melkor/Sauron is my OTP of OTPs right now. Oh how I love this pairing. Villain shipping is the best. And while so many different versions don't fit my personal headcanons, I've never met a version of this ship I didn't enjoy. Something about these two characters just works for me regardless of how they are written. I don't know why.

I'm currently reading the Legend series by Marie Lu. It's not a standout classic, but it's solidly reliable on every front, and the love story is no exception. I feel like I understand why these people are attracted to each other, but I also see all the problems and conflicts of viewpoint that push them apart.

I've never read a Feanor/Fingolfin fic, but I honestly think I'd enjoy some good hate sex fics with those two. Just, them struggling for dominance, trying to make the other lose control, still hating each other but not being able to resist.

From The Office, Dwight/Angela. I love Jim/Pam, but I always thought Dwight/Angela was more interesting, and I really loved the way it concluded in the series finale, but I always felt everyone was more interested in Jim/Pam.

From Veronica Mars, I always felt like I was the only one who liked Veronica with Duncan. I never cared much for Veronica and Logan...and I felt like Pez was an OK guy. I thought people hated him solely on the basis that they shipped LoVe really hard and Pez was ruining their ship that shouldn't be sunk. IDK. I also hated that for the VM movie, they brought Pez back just so Veronica could dump him again and so the LoVe shippers could feel happy that Veronica chooses Logan over Pez. I mean, she broke up with him when the series was cancelled. Pez could have just remained in her past. Sorry for the rant.

Legolas/Gimli aka the couple with the most romantically happy story and canon ending in Middle Earth ever. They make me happy just thinking about them.

Personally I don't think they actually acknowledged their feelings or got together until after Aragorn's coronation, probably not until they fulfilled their pacts to visit each other's squee-sites (Fanghorn Forest and the Glittering Caves). Also, I think Gimli fell in love first, but Legolas made the first move.

For me, this is one of my "friendship-only" pairings. But, it's also a pairing that I can absolutely see why other people ship it, and I think it's sweet.

If I were to ship it, I think I would be the opposite of you in that it seems like in the book, Gimli keeps defying everyone's expectations over and over again. I can just see Legolas being surprised and intrigued by him first and that developing into something. That's how I think their friendship happened at least.

I watched ATLA after everything aired. I hadn't heard anything about it when I watched it, but I ended up shipping Katara/Zuko big time. I just saw a lot of chemistry between them and I really liked the progression of their relationship. If anyone asks for a good example of the trope enemies-to-friends (lovers in my headcanon), this is the one I point to.

OH HI GUESS WHAT I AM REWATCHING RIGHT NOW. I am quite with you on this one; I really liked the way everything developed between them. And hell, everything about Zuko's development in general.

Magnus/Alec from Shadowhunters, I fell in love with Magnus so fast and sure it's kind of a dumb show but I just really love them. So much.

Also not sure if shipping Judy/Nick at this point... I loved their friendship though. Idk. Why not both?

McShep. I been rewatching SGA for the first time since probably about 2008, and all my feelings for them have come back in full force. I love it when Sheppard rolls his eyes at Mckay, which he does a lot, and how their friendship is sarcastic and yet sincere. I didn't think I'd be able to enjoy the show this much again, because it has dated a lot, but I'm super into it.

Wolverine/Cyclops and Wolverine/Cyclops/Gambit

I first shipped this from the animated cartoon series in the 90s. Gambit was my favorite character, but I really liked the back-and-forth between Wolverine and Cyclops (who wasn't a tool in the cartoon). They seemed to get on better in the cartoon. They argued but seemed to respect each other.

I did love how Wolverine frustrated Cyclops in the movies. I don't think it would be hate sex, but I think Cyclops would have a lot of irritation energy to expend, and Wolverine would think it was cute. I've always loved protective Wolverine, and I've read some good fics where he's protective of Cyclops. I'm curious about the new Cyclops in the upcoming movie, and I'm nervous about the new Gambit movie. Crossing fingers that both with be good.

Lately my heart has been wandering back to Drakken/Shego, my first real OTP and first successful fandom niche. I'm thinking I need to revisit some of the half-finished fluff lurking in the back of my hard drive.

I've been getting more and more incest ships lately. I've been rewatching Wizards of Waverly Place, and I have this urge for Justin/Alex fics. I didn't see it before, but now I do. But I only want it a certain way: an experienced Alex teaching virgin Justin.
