1. What ever happened to just dealing with the fact that people aren't always going to like the things you like and vice versa? There are plenty of things that my friends and I don't have in common and some of those things we hate, we don't go around ending friendships over them. You suck and I'd say that regardless of whether it was slash, or some anime, or just something in general that they liked.

17. It happens. A lot people know me from my Final Fantasy dabbling, but my real fandom is Castlevania.

23. It's bad that I kind of had the same reaction. I dunno, my cats are my babies more or less and I always find myself more upset when an animal dies in something than a person ... like when the puppy goes missing in Apocalypse Now. All these people have died and this little puppy is gone and even upon rewatching the movie a few weeks ago I was whining over the puppy to my brother.

32. The problem is 300 was a meme before the movie even came out.

55. It's the fandom that's kept me from ever even touching that series. My younger sister's reading it right now and when I saw the books in her room I cringed. It's bad when stuff like that makes you not even want to give something a chance.

55 - THANK YOU for the actor comment! I'm so sick of hearing people complain about this. This happens in any movie so GET OVER IT. Also, I read the books before I even knew there was a fandom and loved them. Then I saw fandom and had to back out immediately because of all the wank and elitist a-holes.

YES.

This is a concept that could similarly be applied to some het and femslash fans. Fandom = fun. Preferred ships becoming canon = cool sometimes. Preferred ships not becoming canon = So what? It's still the same show that had been enjoyed before.

14. I go through the same exact crap with my family. I'm going to cosplay this year, but I can't tell my sister or dad because they'll mock me to no end. My mom won't bother me, but question why I waste my money on things like this. It's frustrating.

28. While I agree that Tsubasa is COMPLETELY over-rated, I have yet to come across a manga as beautiful and real as Tokyo Babylon. They characters and the relationships from that series are memorable. I have yet to find another character that pulls at me heart like Subaru or a relationship so horrible it's right like his love for Seishirou. I never cried over a manga the way I did when I read the last volume. So yes, CLAMP aren't the geniuses people make them out to be but that series is so eerie and so very in tune with the flip-sides of human personalities that I have to say, it comes pretty close to epic for me.

I know some of them are rabid fangirls who are annoying to a fault and it seems that all that they talk about is the yaoi.. But I wouldn't go as far as to say they didn't actually read the series. (And as for the whole liking Matt thing--he's cool. He's a bit more than 'wears goggles, knows Mello' in canon, too. By you saying that I assume you haven't read HTR13--and we all know what they say about assumptions. The reason why I like Matt? I identify with him--lazy, short-attention-span gamer with good observational skills and a dislike of the outdoors? Yep. Sounds exactly like me.)

I don't want anyone like him around me or my friends. Personally, I thought it was so damn creepy when he sent that Joey kid all those videos saying he loved him and crap. He also has a very high opinion of himself, and people like that need a reality check something fierce. He tends to mock girls who just say simple things like, "You're cool" just because he can. heck those aren't even the crazed fans he's bashing! Lastly, he's a hypocritical, racist punk who talks so much garbage about others, but can never take any criticism to save his life.

In short, I hope people will stop supporting his crap and he'll take the hint and get the heck off of YouTube once and for all.

I really hate the fact that 14 and 15 year old yaoi fangirls are praising him and giving him a huge ego when every video he has made is facepalm embarassing.

7. ;_; Gosh, I've always loved the whole series unreservedly. Particularly season 2. But then I have favorite episodes from season 3 as well. Perhaps they just did a really good job of appearing to have meant to do everything that they did, but--from the very first season, they were already referring to events that happened in the third: I always got the impression that the whole thing had been pretty thoroughly planned beginning to end. I don't know that I really really wish the series had gone on longer (they seemed to have everything neatly tied up at the end), but I certainly don't think it ever jumped the shark. (Well--aside from that one time. :D)
