14 - It sucks that they aren't supportive of you--it's really a lot of fun.

16 - I think the main problem was that there was a ton of build up for Tai/Sora, and VERY little for Yamato/Sora in the main show--then you get to Season 2 and BAM! Sora suddenly is all over Yamato, who (btw) seems to spare her very little time and now Tai has noticed Sora and it's too late. It really did just come off as bad writing, considering how things were set up. =\

Meh. Whatev. I think I was more miffed that Takeru and Hikari didn't end up together.

1. I understand some things about friends make you want to slap them sometimes, but ending things over something like slash is pretty dumb in my opinion.

Listen, I can perfectly understand you not wanting people to talk about slash on your LJ. Or worse pimp slash specifically at you after you've told them not to. I know that happens and that is pure suck. BUUUUUT, if you are going to defriend your long time friends soley because they like something you don't, then you are passive aggressive hyper-controlling bitch and these friends would be good to be rid of you.

You don't get to choose what your friends like and dislike. Either you like your friends on the merits of who they are, or you don't. Holding out your friendship as an ultimatum to get them to change their behavior means that your idea of friendship is a one way street -- them pleasing you.

25) I've kind of slid away from this fandom lately. Roy x Ed has always been popular, but it's too bad the other pairings aren't getting as much love as they used to. As a rareshipper, I found some luck finding other pairings on fma_rare.


49) I love 1, 2, and 3 (when I can find them). They may not be classically sexy, but they were a hell of a lot of fun as characters. I think the chances they'll go back to the older Doctor characters is close to nil though. The younger ones are too popular.

60. I love playing in multifandom rps because of that reason: the reaction and adaptation of the said character to different contexts. Some are used to weird shit (TM) and can live with it, some aren't and you need to picture their reaction: denial, numb acceptance, total depression, anger, etc. That's part of the game. Some of my characters are okay with it (like they ARE the psychos or people used to WORSE places), others took months to settle in comfortable in painful angst-horror development. It depends of the character.

I agree that is OOC to pretend nothing new is coming on UNLESS the said characters are "god-like" and are used to this situation (or reached there by their own choice).

Honestly, that is a double edged sword. I think that a well rounded person can have friends who like different stuff from them just as long as their is a mutual respect for each others feelings. I have alot of friends on my flist who absolutely cannot stand the buttsecks, you know what.. they don't read those posts with the tags in it that says that I'm going to be rambling about hot man on man action. I don't go to their journal telling them that OMG RITSUKA/YUIKO FROM LOVELESS IS SO NOT CANON (a pairing that one of my friends.. an anti-slash fan ships). And in return she doesn't come to my journal and flame me for my own preferences which at times can be different from her own.

If in fact you do have friends who like teh slash and they are shoving it in your face, or talking about it all the time to you, then tell them that you don't want to hear about it. Reasonable request and if they don't understand nor respect your request then well.. screw em. But if in fact you do drop them cold turkey without even the benefit of an explanation or without a chance for them to accomodate you.. then a big resounding fuck you.. karma can really be quite the bitch and I'm sure that they didn't want to be your friend -anyways-

71. Hair dye, honestly, is generally about as much time and effort and money as wigs are. And it usually looks first. If you dye your hair to another color unless it's black, you're going to have to bleach it out first. And it really usually looks worse. A lot of anime characters have incredibly thick hair. Hair thicker than human hair be a good degree. Like Edward Elric's hair for example. He's got about two heads' worth of hair in his braid, and another head's worth in his bangs. You could never replicate that with real hair without it looking flat.

tl;dr dying your hair is just a bad idea in general for cosplay.

Anyway, there's nothing wrong with depending on your own hair for cosplay. If it looks good or if you're having fun, whatever.

#1: Well. Good luck with that. I don't know the situation, other than you want to get rid of your long-term friends, so my opinion could sway two ways.

#28: Sweetie, I hope this is not a hard concept to understand but in life, not everyone has the same interests. What may be the greatest thing to you isn't the greatest thing to someone else and vice versa. CLAMP series may not be your cup of tea, but just because you like other series, does not mean that they're superior to CLAMP, nor does it mean that CLAMP is superior to those series.

TO BE FAIR, and I'm saying this as a person who dearly loves my CLAMP, flaws and all:

Personal taste is one thing, but there is still a difference between subjective opinion and objective fact. Plot holes exist. Inconsistent characterization happens for real. Blatant cliches are the bane of all manga; badly thought out plot devices have been known to happen to the best of us. A shiny concept alone does not make the manga itself good, and I can't say that CLAMP wrote the best love story I ever read. Or comedy, or mystery, or adventure series, for that matter. This doesn't make me love them less; merely capable of admitting that there are people out there who do it better.
