Sorry if there's been too many of these recently, but I need to get mine off my chest.

I miss being single. There's nothing really wrong with my relationship, it's just... boring. He's a sweet guy but he doesn't really do deep conversations or intellectual stimulation. I miss being able to flirt with other guys and have people interested in me. I feel so boring and stagnant now. But he's kind and obviously cares about and loves me a lot.... I'm just fed up and miss being desirable and available. :/

If he's not making you feel wanted or special and doesn't act interested in you outside of just being "nice," is it really worth it to you to stay in the relationship if you're bored with and by him?

Well, the solution is obvious and entirely within your control. You're not doing any favors to this guy staying with him out of obligation. You deserve to be happy whether it's in the context of a good relationship or as a single person, and he deserves the same.

Please don't stay with someone just because they 'obviously care about you'. It's definitely not fair to them, and you'll probably go down a deeper path of resentment towards them for not being everything you want.

Already seen the replies coming in; I am going to, I just can't right now because it's definitely not a good time to be stirring up a big emotional upheaval in both our lives. I need to wait it out a few weeks and getting it off my chest in the meantime. Thanks for telling it like it is though, F!S.

I know that feeling. I waited through several "bad times" and finally just did it and it was a relief to finally be done with it. I hope things go smoothly once you're ready.

Honestly? The longer you wait, the worse it is. I know you're probably looking for a time when you're both emotionally prepared but breaking up will be a difficult time regardless of when it happens. Letting him get back on his feet and then pulling out the rug again might be worse rather than better.

Oh god thiiiiiiiiiiis. So many of those "editors" can barely proofread well, never mind pointing out more serious issues like weak characterization, plot holes, etc.

There's this guy I love - not romantically, but he's just so damn sweet. But I feel like if I say "I love you" it looks like I'm hitting on him.

(Seriously though, he says things that are just that awesome. We're not even close. I just... wish more people thought like him. Actually, it's too bad there IS no romantic spark.)

I actually miss when Mitt Romney was the Republican candidate.

Mostly a "confession" because that would be hard to state to people who hated him, and they wouldn't hear me out. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't a fan either. But he just pissed me off. Trump actually scares me.

He was someone I didn't agree with, and someone I thought held backward views, and someone who I thought was ignorant to how the lives of most Americans were like and what issues and struggles they dealt with. But I believed that he believed that what he was proposing would help people. I thought he was wrong, and dangerously wrong, but I never got the feeling that he was lying for personal gain or attention or power, he really thought he was helping people in his condescending, old-fashioned, good ol boy 1%er way.

Clinton and Trump, I don't get this feeling about. Clinton is a follower that believes in whatever is popular at the time, and Trump is making shit up as he goes along.

I'm a real guy's guy you know. Sports. Cars. Probably headed to the Army or Marines, if they'll have me.

I'm also gay and nobody knows. Around here you just don't see gay people like me. We have our own little boxes and the gays act this way and the straights act that way and I don't fit anywhere but I'm closest to the straight guys so that's what I pretend to be.

It fucking sucks. But I don't want to be the game changer. I don't want to be a movement. I just want to be me and I can't. It doesn't feel like 2016 here.

I needed a hair cut and I was broke, so my friend offered to cut it for free. I haven't had it cut in a while and I knew she'd need to trim at least three inches off because of the split ends, but she ended up cutting seven inches off and I really hate how short it feels now.

It's coming up on the one-year anniversary of my cutting ties with an old friend, and I keep thinking about her and hurting. I don't actually miss her -- I had very good reasons for getting her out of my life and this breakup was a longer time coming than it should have been -- but I don't make friends easily and she was the last local one I had. I miss having someone nearby to care about and have an excuse to leave the house for.
