I don't know exactly what you mean so sorry if I misinterpreted and am spewing old info, but in one of the trailers, there was a shot of a hooded Organization member who was confirmed to be member #14. It was also revealed that member #14 is a female. Interestingly enough, there are a whole lot less Mary-Sue self-inserts for that than I thought there'd be. I really hope that those fanbrats don't realize there's a fourteenth member until she's revealed and they can't do anything about it <3

wow. Just wanted to say how I agree with EVERYTHING you just said. And I must admit, I ended up writing a whole entire fanfic yeaaars ago from Ino's point of view and actually people began to like her... I admit I'm sure my alteration of the character may have brought her into favor, but honestly it shows that something can still FEEL cannon because the girls don't get the time of day to express themselves fully and that they deserve chances when looking at them.

I read 36 as it's canon that Tsuna has a romantic interest in someone, and it's not one of the hojillion guys in the show. I mean, it's questionable whether Kyoko has anything for him back, but Tsuna's feelings, at least, are very canon. And a lot of the things some people cite as canon, i.e. Gokudera->Tsuna, I don't think necessarily have to be read as romantic.

At least, I think that's what whoever made the secret was trying to get at. :X

I have to agree, even though I'm not much of a Tsuna/Kyoko fan. (I'm holding out for Haru.)

I don't think there's much in the way of shipping that you can call canon in Reborn. Subtext at every turn, yeah, but subtext does not canon make, and I think you can argue for very deep emotional bonds between a lot of the cast being canon without said bonds necessarily being romantic in nature.

Yes, pretty much can fit into some trope. The important thing is how that trope works in the surrounding piece. There's a page on TV Tropes which basically says that calling something a trope isn't a criticism, because there is nothing inherently negative about that. Though some tropes are a criticism of the source when applied, such as "Woman in the Refrigerator".
