49. So I'm guessing that I'm the only one who likes it because the way the main character acts is actually believable and full of human flaws? God forbid someone writes something that isn't a full-fledged vampire story, lest it be labeled anything other than a Mary-Sue publication. I'm not saying it's the greatest series to ever be written, but for the love of god will people ever just give up? Just because something is popular doesn't mean it's shit; it just means it strikes a chord with a large number of people. And really, something can be good even if you don't like it (the writing style, the content, the fucking cover; it doesn't really matter). I believe it's called "a matter of a opinion?"

No no, I believe it's called shit. I liked Harry Potter and it was 'popular' true I have issues with it but the series started out well, but couldn't keep the pace.

The fact is Twilight takes itself seriously, the main female character is impossible to sympathize with and is pathetic no girl would act like that IRL unless she was mentally stunted. And the writing style? - oh god, don't get me started on it.

Everyones entitled to like something, I love a lot of shit things but I never pretend they're more then they are, the fact is Twilight strikes a chord with a lot of immature people, it's allowed it just makes me feel ill.

Oh and some shit, can be fucking excellent if it's taken with a pinch of salt and a grin but this:

Screw you. I love Sakura. I've heard of many of the others. Some of them are also favorites of mine. But I've always had a soft-spot for Sakura, and I don't see how she's any worse of a role model than any of the others.

42. Sakura... ah, Sakura... I guess i understand where you're coming from to a cetain point, but i think you're very wrong about her.

I'll admit i couldn't stand her at the beginning of the series. She seemed so useless, and that whole part where she stood up and "bloomed" was so "guh? is that it?" when compared to all of the other characters and the way they acted. But if you think about it, she seems like the most realistic character in the series. She was twelve. TWELVE when the series started, and that is how i would expect a 12 year old girl to behave. She's a little useless and a girlygirl who has a silly crush on a classmate, but she's still a child, and she's forced to deal with all sorts of horrific things because she's also a ninja. Not only is she forced to deal with them, but she deals with them and she doesn't break. She comes close, but that's what makes her human. She's a girl with a strong mind and a strong heart, even if her physical strength is weak. She is the emotional anchor for both Naruto and Sasuke, and the deliberation to their impetuousness. When i first watched Naruto, i expected more characters to be a little horrified at the fighting. There's a huge difference between learning theory in a school and actually putting it into practice, after all. Naruto got over his initial "!!! OMG MUST FIGHT !!! " a little too quickly for my tastes.

The thing that hit me the most was the fact that she grew up a lot during the timeskip into an intelligent, mature girl who had lost a lot of the inner insecurities and filled out into the kind of woman that was capable of both the old support and the physical action. She's a late bloomer in many ways, especially in fighting, but still, the difference between then and now is astounding and makes me love her that much more. You can see where she came from, and you can see how she ended up, and the way she developed was not really that unrealistic.

Hinata. As much as I love her. and i really, really do, Sakura is a far more mature and far more powerful character now that Hinata is. We haven't seen much of Hinata 2 years later yet, but she doesn't seem to have grown up a lot, and for that i'm disappointed. I really can't see why you think Hinata's any better a role model than Sakura is. And fudge, its like 5am and I need to sleep or i'd write more. :'/
