4. (Why do I only respond to DN secrets recently?) I kind of agree, kind of don't. I like a lot of the fandom. There are people who get it and who you can have a serious conversation with. There are so many incredible themes and amazing characterization in this series. But you can still have fun with it from time to time, you know? I don't know if you meant that there's too much fangirling and too little serious discussion. If you did, well, there are serious Death Note sites or communities... And then there are fun ones. (And then there ARE the cringeworthy ones, but they can be avoided.)

Haha I do believe there a lot of serious fans but it really didn't deserve ANY of the fangirling. I enjoy humor always, but stupid slash nonsense for it overpopulates the fandom. I don't feel Deathnote deserves to be in the same category of fandom as Naruto or Bleach is in (which it is especially in the cosplay/internet sense).
