01. I know that feeling. I've been in a fandom for the past 6 years, and, in the last 2 or 3, it's changed...dramatically :\ Luckily I was able to maintain relationships with some of my friends, but some of the people I used to be the closest to have turned out to be...shitty people. Bleh.

44. As an alumni of Macalester College, I take umbrage with your characterization of it as an "easy" school. I worked very hard for my degree, and so did everyone around me, from Theater majors to Chemistry majors. I cannot speak for Reed College and I haven't the foggiest idea where you are getting your data on which you base your comparison, but Macalester is not somehow an easy ride. You CAN have fandom *and* a rigorous academic experience - if you want it!
