01. On one hand, that show is kind of a bit shallow (they'd hate the way I dress, and I happen to love geek chique), but I do like that they deal with all kinds of body types. Does make me feel a bit better.


05. I figure this place is all about communication. If someone posts a real secret, half the time, there's really nothing to say to it. But it's nice to start up conversations about shallow, fandomy things.


10. Yeah, that made me cry too, but only because that book was an important part of my childhood, and the movie had nothing to do with the book whatsoever. I mean, it was like they waved it in the general vicinity of the camera once. There was a mouse, his name was Stuart, the end. Usually, I don't really mind adaptations, but it wasn't even that.


14. Well, it's pretty hard not to fall in love with Mickey Smith. Hufflepuff with a gun!


15. I've never heard of that comm before, but I have to say, mmm, no. Self-insert =/= Mary Sue. I mean, nine times out of ten, it does, but not always. And I have seen canon sues. I'm not talking bitterness or anything; Ginny from Harry Potter is not a Mary Sue just because she's "cool" and Harry likes her, nor is Tonks for having nifty powers.

But if you don't believe in the Canon Sue, I have only to point you in the direction of the Rhapsody trilogy. And a Gary Stu in it as well (Ashe, not Achmed). I actually had to stop reading a few times because it triggered my gag reflex.


31. OH MAN I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN! I feel that way about Rose (but at least the Doctor's had Companions of all ages). I felt that way when I turned 16 and there was no portal to another world, or when I turned 13 and realized I was the same age as the BabySitters Club girls.


34. Veil? I never really felt sympathetic for him. And that bugged me, because I wanted to. Ferrets are cool. At least there was that one rat later who turned good.


39. D'awww! COSMO! That kiss is absolutely adorable! I would love to find some exclusively Cosmo/Kathy fic that didn't turn into a kind of weird, oversexual three-way.
