It's not really the same thing, though. For example, I write my OTP--it's crack, it's extremely rare--actually no one else has written it that I'm aware of. I'm having a lot of fun writing it myself (though I'm stalled right now due to finals), but it isn't the same as being able READ things--I want other interpretations, other ideas besides my own. Yes, the first thing you should do if you want to see something is write it yourself (but even then, some people just aren't writers), but that isn't enough most of the time.

Yes, I know. But writing it yourself is a start. At least then it exists. And then if someone else has the same idea, then they can have the joy of reading your thing before then going off and trying to write that pairing (or whatever) themselves! Plus you are also having the fun of writing it yourself. And you might convert people when they read your piece - you never know! :)

19: Love DeiTobi but only when it's goofy!Tobi, I cannot stand the Tobi/Madara/whoever from the most recent chapters. Tobi was cool when he was first introduced as Deidara's Sasori Replacement.

57. Rem's a girl?! O.O I watched all of Death Note and I never could figure out Rem's gender (or whether Mello died).... The only thing I dislike about Rem ... is that Rem killed L. But otherwise, I loved Rem and Misa's relationship. It was kinda wierd not having Rem around after "she" turned to sand. I don't hate Rem, Rem's all right. Definately better than Shidoh or whoever the last one was. (not Jealous or Ryuk, that really lame one)

While James isn't an entire train wreck of a man, I don't think he'd make a good dad. :/ Sort of the distant, not-very-understanding type who lacks enough patience or compassion to really raise a kid properly.

Though if you're looking for a good SH protagonist to call daddy, have you tried a one, Harold Mason? He's a pretty good candidate. And you're set if you ever get lost.

49. Unless you're like me and you've found that you can't write serious or romantic goings ons for beans-- beans, I say! I can come up with the fancy ideas, I just can't write them down. @,@ Plus, when you do it all yourself, it lacks the heart-exploding joy you feel when you finally come across someone who likes the same fandom/pairing you do. What about jelly-beans? What about chocolate-coated jelly-beans? (ok, i just made those up, but if chocolate-coated jelly-beans do actually exist then I want to eat them RIGHT NOW!)

But - fanarts is good! It's adding something, contributing something. You need someone you can foster your plot bunnies out to. Or, you say you can't write serious/romantic stuff, what about CRACK!?! Why not have a go at writing crack? It's fun!

Also, the thing about doing it yourself is that you potentially give someone else the heart-exploding joy when they stumble across your thing and it's exactly what they've been looking for! I think that was the point for mah sekrit - that how can people expect everything when they put nothing in??? But you do the fan-art thing and I am offering the chocolate-coated magic jelly-beans, so... um... I'll shut up now.

I regret not going onto fandom secrets often.

As a Rem fan myself, I actually like Misa A LOT. The whole point I roleplay Rem is to freak the Wammy kids out, and to play with Misa rpers. Don't be afraid: You are not alone! ^^
