56. I don't get it, really... How can canon "kill" a pairing? You can still ship them, no one's stopping you! Is it really important how many people "care about them"? If you do, and your fellow shippers do, isn't that enough?
Of course you may be disappointed if you were thinking that they'd be BFFs early in the first season, but I... don't really see how the growing apart of Peter and Mohinder would be considered a big loss for the show considering that they have both established many other meaningful and interesting relationships with other characters.

Thanks for the Heroes secret, I kinda feel like commenting on something Heroes-related. If only there was something non-bitter one day, that'd be nice!

Adding: Thinking back to what I saw in the P/M community whenever I peeked, I must say that I'm sort of glad the pairing faded away. The constant bashing of every female character who so much as glanced at either of the guys, was really disgusting. Not to mention the bashing of MOLLY. WTF. No respect left for this ship, sorry.

I think it's one thing to ship something (I've made fun of this ship in my time, as you know, but mostly because I just don't get it, not because I don't think people should ship it), but being that emotionally invested in whether it becomes canon or not seems ... unhealthy. Because what you need to realize is it was never canon and never had a chance of being. Well, I'm sure you do realize it, which is why this is a secret for you, but still. This secret really made me uncomfortable to read.

Just enjoy it with your circle of friends, without expecting canon to ... do anything for you? I know you have friends who like it. It doesn't have to die unless you kill it. Canon doesn't kill ships that were never canon.

It's possible I misread the secret, but I didn't get the vibe that the OP wanted the ship to become canon. More that Peter and Mo never interact anymore, so all the fans drifted away.

04. Aw, what's wrong with Sliders? Granted, I don't remember much, but it was a fun times show.

24. Wow. It's nice that you actually happen to hate a whole group of people who just ship something you don't. Lovely. Gah, this is why I confine most of my Avatar fandom to IRL, where people don't snark other people based on ships. I was going to say it sounded pretty cool (because I had this weird dream the other night that Zuko's mother was actually a waterbender. Very weird dream). But then you had to go and be dickish about it.
I don't understand this vindictive "I can't wait for the wangst!" I see in so many series. It's just...sadistic and mean, I guess.


30. Gah, it is a horrible, horrible show. I love it though, cheesy bad writing and poor gay Munch and everything. Except for the last episode; the writers were stuck, I admit, but I don't think they picked a very good way to dispose of that character. (Oh gosh, and the confession of love between my other favourite couple? Way to totally let us down, writers. That had all the chemistry and zing of two blocks of wood knocking together.)

49. While I partially agree, at the same time, sometimes you just want to find something and read it. Sometimes, you'd really like to see a couple, and have no idea how it could happen. Or you just want the vindication that someone else feels the same way about something. I mean, I write fanfic to make myself happy with just about anything, really, but sometimes...you just want to read. No effort.

This was actually addressed in the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen comic, in Volume 2. Hyde explained that he started out much smaller than Jekyll, but "without me, Jekyll has no drives, and without him, I have no restraints." Basically I guess we can infer that his "bad side" eventually grew out of control.
