I don't know, I could say a lot of things about TBD, but I really wouldn't think they have that limited of a fanbase. I mean, just look at the comments! Small sure, but much bigger than what they were probably anticipating. It's all over the broadway fandom. (and by the way, if you haven't already, I reccomend trying broadwaysecrets)

Glad to know that someone else feels this way. I see a lot of secrets hating on RoyEd or EdRoy or EdAl or EdWinry or OH NOES dub fanbrats or OH NOES overrate, etc etc, but honestly wank happens in any fandom. Just because something was aired on TV in America doesn't mean it can't be a great fandom too =)

Generally, a character being a messiah figure is an indication that they are, in fact, going to die. :P Then again, Aang has kind of been-there-done-that. And I wouldn't call him a "messiah figure" anyway; the Avatar cycle was inspired by the Tibetan Buddhist Lama tradition. Not exactly Christian, that.

I don't know, if anybody is going to die it'll be Iroh, Azula and Ozai, which would neatly clear the path for Zuko becoming Firelord.

Ack! If Nick does this, I'm not sure I'll be able to forgive them. As awesome as Zuko is, he's not ready to be Fire Lord, and ESPECIALLY not at such a critical juncture as the end of a hundred-years war. There's just no way that wouldn't end in national disaster. Iroh is the only character in the whole Avatar canon that could handle a job like that. Zuko can be his successor.

And what do you mean, "inside joke"? EVERYONE has seen Star Wars, right? Right?

What Zutara fans are you talking to? From my experience they're a little more tolerant, don't care what's canon [most are in it for the porn anyway], and aren't dominated my 12 year old girls who can't handle someone on the internet disagreeing with them.

BTW yes, if it did turn out canon, it would become a lolocaust. A surge of "I told you so's" and epic amounts of porn would flood DA and the elljay communities as well.

That movie was one of the most epic things ever. It was also my introduction to the reality of death. I think it left a lasting impression on all of us who grew up with it, so reactions like yours are hardly worth keeping secret.

24) I'm not a Zutara shipper, but it's people like you who have me rooting hard that Katara ends up with Zuko. I'd rather hear the Zutara fans celebrate an unexpected plot twist than the Kataang people gloat over their ability to predict the blindingly obvious. Actually, I hate it when fannits like you turn fandom into a freaking contest. In fanfic, ALL ships are equally plausible, and everyone should be able to ship who ever they like, with whoever they like without people insulting their tastes. (PS -- your other ship? That's true fandom spirit).

But considering the way various contingencies have been set up, the creators will have to tear open a plothole the size of Ba Sing Se to make Katara Aang's Forever Girl. That would be pretty neat if Katara's and Zuko's mom were the same person, but it's kinda hard to imagine that this woman could be in two places at the same time. She would have to be in two places at the same time, unless they've addressed in the show that either mother used to disappear for long periods of time for no reason. Theories are fine, but there are a few holes in it that need some filling in. Although it would be nice; it'd give those damn Zutara shippers a reason to shut the fuck up.
