I fell really far down the fandom rabbit hole despite never thinking the books were that good. I finally came to my senses and quit on BD but it's one of those pairings I genuinely wished I'd never gotten into at times because the canon and the fandom just weren't rewarding enough for all this doomed shipping to be worth it. The J/B sect was where I could actually go without losing my mind, but we had our share of pointless righteousness. You missed some fun, but it was the worst of ship wars and mediocre fic.

I CAN’T STAND THIS SHIP

(with an arrow pointing at Soldier76): Mostly because of him. He’s the most boring character in the game for me. Lore wise, design wise, gameplay wise. Just looking at him makes me want to snore.

Why is this a secret? Well, all my fandom friends ships it. Obsessively. I don’t want to pee on their parade, I’m happy they are having fun, but despite doing my best to blacklist every possible variation of the ship on all the platforms I use, I still get invaded by content for this ship. Not to mention it shows up as a background pairing on every single goddamn fic I read.
I’m just so sick of it. At this rate I might have to block or unfollow people I’ve been mutual with for a long time Because I’m THAT tired of seeing this ship everywhere.
