I'm 99% sure that one of the people I follow on tumblr has been collecting identities so that she can claim she's "not like those white women" who voted from Trump.

I mean, she didn't vote for Trump, but a lot of her posts, and her "coming out" comments come across like she's just trying to distance herself.

Like? You're white. You have white privilege. Stop acting like you're better then all the other white people.

(Obviously She faces misogyny, I'm not trying to claim she doesn't, but it's like she thinks identities are Pokemon cards, if she collects enough, they trump her white-ness, and makes her Better Then You.)

I don't understand why people continue to follow tumblrs that upset and/or annoy them.

I probably should. She's a friend-of-an-IRL-friend, so I haven't yet, since I didn't want that drama, but reality is, will she even notice one person unfollowing?

The biggest I've heard is that if you're young and poor, you'll get less help paying for your insurance than if you're old and poor. Because young people never get cancer or involved in wrecks or shootings or anything.

Also there's something about $3,000 exposing how little the people making these laws actually understand what it costs to be sick, but I don't really understand the plan or argument.

If you are out of insurance for 2 months or more, you pay a 30% surcharge on premiums for a year.

They are cutting AND capping Medicaid, defudning PPFA (not like PP used that shit for abortions anyway as that was ILLEGAL to begin with), allowing deductions of pay above 500,000/yr, they're forcing a vote on this in 2 days without it being total public knowledge, pre-existing conditions are not covered UNLESS you are continuously insured (so if, for whatever reason, you lose your insurance and you have a pre-existing condition, good luck getting covered again).

Those are just a few I've seen.

Posting anon because I feel guilty even complaining about this. Sometimes when I have something great happen to me, I feel bad because I feel like my friends deserve it more. I'm happy I got this break but I don't need it as much as someone else needs it.

And I feel even guiltier for being happy. I can't talk about the feeling because its humble-bragging and i feel like a dick. And I'm stuck with this sense of guilt inside me building up that I just CAN'T bring myself to talk or vent about. And it becomes a vicious spiral of self guilt that ends in me grabbing a knife and slicing my skin. And then I feel guilty for other shit, like purposefully hurting myself when there are so many family members who want me to be alive and healthy.

Aurghh maybe I should sleep.

I think "afab" nb people should not participate in the women's strike because if you make such a fuss about not being female, you should stay away from female only events.
