I go to a private school, and am in a bit of the same situation. I'm the "twisted and macabre, but really nice chick", but online I have a hard time being open about my school history because of my liberal upbringing. I'm supposed to be some sort of hippie or something.
So I guess my advise is just be comfortable with yourself and what you like. If people get all weird about you being homeschooled, just be an example. <3<3<3

i read all the Sandman graphic novels, a bit at a time, sitting in a Barnes & Noble near my college my sophomore year, and when i finished The Kindly Ones, i got up, put the book back on the shelf, wandered to the bathroom on the next floor down, locked myself into a stall, and cried for like ten minutes. it will always be one of the weirdest and best reading experiences i've ever had.
