155. Don't know about Supernatural, but Doctor/Rose was definitely sexualized, and House/Wilson had strong subtextual undercurrents ("you're dating me!"). Both pairs have very strong relationships, and it's not much of a stretch to throw romance/se into the mix. I'm all for more friendship fics, but it's not like sexualizing their relationships is something surprising.

The general population's concensus is that "ANIME IS NEEERDY", so I try to avoid talking about that stuff out loud, even if it's with an attractive person/close friend. It shouldn't be something to be ashamed of, but it's a mindset that can be hard to ditch.

That bit I disagree with. I think it's a big misconception in fandom as well as outside of it that owning merchandise of a show one likes immediately makes someone a 'crazy' fan. Enthusiastic, certainly, but 'crazy' in this context implies something rather disagreeable; obsession with one thing to the detriment of all else, which isn't always the case.

164) Um... why? What makes them any different from any other pairings that you just don't happen to ship? They are all main characters who spend a lot of time interacting together and actually like each other. Or do you just mean the way some writers simply put them in the middle of long standing relationships without a shred of backstory to justify it, as if this were just a given.
