If you are at home, I cannot recommend a hot bath highly enough. Being surrounded by heat feels even better than just a heating pad or hot water bottle. Also, personally I find naproxen works better than ibuprofen.

The lady at my workplace defending Nazis. I'm doing my best to be civil and talk to her in a cordial manner, but I'm starting to feel like ramming my head against the wall would be a more productive use of my time.

on my own end: i broke up with my gf a little while ago and she has since been making a massive spectacle of herself all over social media. it's a giant pity party, and if there isn't enough pity, she'll post ominous depressed messages.

the thing is: i do feel bad for her. the relationship was great for her! it was, however, extremely shitty for me for a lot of reasons, which is the realisation that broke the camel's back on my end. at least where my name is attached and mutual friends can see it (so, not here as of right now) i've taken the high road and not dragged her through the mud, but it's so frustrating knowing that people are turning away from me because of her ultimate victim showdown.

Sorry about your breakup I hope your friends will listen to your side of things.

You may wanna take a social media break if you can't avoid seeing it, looking at that stuff isn't going to help your headspace any even if you are good with the break up, dealing with the aftermath can still be hard.

I hate the US healthcare and insurance system. I hate that it's so expensive. I hate that even with insurance I could still get screwed over financially.

The fact that a doctor prescribes me something should be enough for insurance to cover it, why do I need to fight to receive my medication? I guess I could go back to being sick and not eating, that'd be fun.

What the hell is going on with the Great Turnip in charge and his handlers? First he doesn't condemn the nazis, then someone twists his arm and makes him read a prewritten statement, and now he is back to the "the left are equally bad hombres" when left alone for a second. Just let him self-destruct or declare him unfit for duty already.

This back-and-forth is ridiculous.

I've been sick for three days. Headache, backache, fever, no appetite but at least I stopped puking and having the runs. ugh.

Warning for medical stuff and mental illness

I'm fucking sick of anxiety. I'm tense and paranoid. I've got a short-term anti-anxiety med, but I can only take it 3 times a day at most. And I don't see my doctor until next week. Every little thing is triggering anxiety and panic attacks, things that never would have before. I had to take off my pants earlier because they were making me feel claustrophobic. I just want to feel normal again. I thought I was doing better, but today has been bad. I had to cancel just about everything I had planned.

Also, I still have a sinus infection. Which is making me dizzy. Which is increasing my anxiety.

Also, my brother-in-law's insurance is forcing him to go off the med that has been working for his bi-polar disorder and making him try something cheeper. He's been on the new med a week and already gone manic. But they are insisting he has to be on it a month before they are willing to pay for the one that actually works. And he was just about to start a new job too. So fuck the insurance companies.

Bleh. I just...I'm over it all. I'd just go sleep if I didn't expect nightmares. I need to get off the med that is doing this to me, but I need to wait to hear from my neurologist on she wants me to do that.

It's dumb, but on vacation and put clothes in the washer, started it so they were good and wet, and discovered no one bought laundry detergent. My father offered to pick it up when he went out with my sister. I even wrote it down on a list for him.

He left, I settled in with a glass of wine. He and my sister come back, no laundry detergent. Now I have to feel like an asshole asking him to drive BACK out for laundry detergent so my damn clothes don't mold. I might be ok to drive? But I am very paranoid about drinking anything and driving and I wouldn't have had the damn wine if I knew he was going to flake out.

Can't get a dentist appointment for god knows how long as I'm in the registering process, and have to be at work in a few hours in a job where I have to be smiley and cheerful to people all day.

I want to sleep and I want to EAT, GODDAMNIT.

The neighbors frequently bitch about the state of my yard. Which, granted, is a bit overgrown and messy at the moment because I had a two-week work trip, the weather has been shite every weekend since, and I work most daylight hours...

... but yesterday was a holiday where I live, so I had a day off work and the weather was okay and I thought FINALLY, I SHALL TACKLE THE BRUSH. So I start just the process of stuffing some brush into the organic waste bin (by hand, no machines are involved, it's pretty much just the occasional crackle of twigs and leaves). AND THE NEIGHBORS ON THEIR BALCONY STARTED BITCHING ABOUT MY DISTURBING THEIR DAY OFF BECAUSE OMG HOW DARE I DO THAT SORT OF THING ON A HOLIDAY.

So I rage-quit, and just KNOW the next time I see them they'll all be "... shouldn't you do something about your hedges???"

Grumpy me is grumpy.
