140. I was sadder over my father's death than I was over the death of a fictional character, but I cried more over the fictional character anyway. Being told over the phone that my dad died was shocking as hell and I cried in little bouts for the first few months and I still do cry occasionally when it gets to me. But the way that some shows can set up a scene are far more emotionally damaging in the moment than in the long run. Being sad and crying are two separate dynamics when it comes to grief.
