I don't have a reputation, and I have no problem with liking kidlit, like Jerry Spanelli, Harry Potter or Ramona books or really anything like that, but my god, those books are horrifically written. DX I hate that I want to know what happens. For me, it has nothing to do with looking cool. It's just that I hate everyone but Alice and Jasper, and I can't read four sentences without rolling my eyes and thinking, "Oh, please," and that's annoying to read.
