Too Big: In the first two pics, at least, I think those are oblique muscles, not ribs. (Still skinny, but w/e I have no idea who that character is)

152. Hahaha! I hear you. There was a secret a while back about how Taichi looked similar to another character also (for once, not KHR’s Sora!). Wild brown hair, brown eyes. Not too unique an appearance for a shonen manga star. Especially when Taichi’s without his goggles. Anyway, good luck in your search.

125. I seem to remember Ed in the anime mentioning "God" - but he probably meant it more like an abstract concept, like "fate," or "the universe," or he just wanted something convient to blame for his misfortunes and to take out his frustration on.

I've known atheists and agnostics to use "God" as an expression - more or less a meaningless expression/ G-dammit is a convient way to cuss.

*Shrug* This secret caught my eye because back when I did a cruddy little webcomic, I had an atheist (maybe more hard-agnostic, actually) main character. Though he was a warrior and had few qualms about killing people, he had pretty "clean" language. His reason for not using "God" as an expletive was because he felt it pointless and dumb to swear by/with something he didn't believe in.

133. I'm with you! I love Goren, but he is such an asshole sometimes. I think it's perfectly okay and understandable to like a character but hate them at times. Makes them seem more human. :)

140. Everybody deals with grief in different ways. My father's death made me a lot more sensitive to death as portrayed in the media. Many representations of death - even silly fictional ones - move me to tears because I'm reminded of the grief that my mother and I went through together when he went, and reminded that other people - real ones, not the ones on TV - went through similar grief.

It's actually comforting, in a cathartic way, to have a good cry again, and know that I'm not alone in missing him.

113. I noticed that Lelouch isn't on there. Is it because you haven't watched Code Geass, or is it because his crazy face isn't good enough? 'Cause let me tell you, he has that crazy face on 50% of the show. o_o;

Personally, I think Monster has some of the most gorgeous art I can think of. It takes a little getting used to because it's rougher but I absolutely adore it! His character design is astounding.

And speaking as a fan who loves both of the series, they're both so amazing at this point I think it depends on preference to choose one over the other (Monster is my favorite). Both are well-thought-out and composed, but I think Deathnote is a little easier to follow (fewer characters, simpler general plot but more details subplots, etc) which could explain its larger popularity. IMHO.
