(Anonymous) 2017-10-30 11:17 pm (UTC)(link)That's why I signed the movie to begin with
They said, there's a kiss scene and I was like, oh [looks disappointed/bored?]
Then they say, with Isla Fisher and then I was like oh! [looks excited and happy]

(Anonymous) 2017-10-30 11:26 pm (UTC)(link)I don't think anyone would have found it creepy if it was the opposite way around, though it can depend on who it was. Like, if it was Woody Allen talking about Gal Gadot, yeah, that would be creepy. But if it was Chris Pratt talking about Gal Gadot, aside from the Chris Pratt haters, everyone would have been, okay, that's cool.
And how is a lesbian kiss not an accomplishment in today's day and age? Come on, OP, you know better than that.

(Anonymous) 2017-10-30 11:19 pm (UTC)(link)I think if you find it creepy though (which is everyone's right to have a differing opinion) it should be creepy regardless of the sexes of the people involved.

Hmm, I can't agree with this. It's not up to you to tell an individual what they should and shouldn't be creeped out by. It's a purely subjective/knee-jerk feeling. You have no idea what their life experience has been.
I will say this, though. Personally, I don't think it'd be anymore creepy if a man said it. Attraction is attraction, and is not harmful in and of itself. It's what you do with it that matters.

(Anonymous) 2017-10-30 11:34 pm (UTC)(link)Your feeling is well-meaning, but still inherently sexist. And benevolent sexism can be the most harmful.

(Anonymous) 2017-10-30 11:59 pm (UTC)(link)Also, I don't think most people are acting like it is a "major accomplishment" that she kissed a woman on screen. I think they're just excited whenever an actor they like shows any kind of acceptance towards the LGBT community.

context
Re: context
(Anonymous) - 2017-10-31 12:30 (UTC) - Expandno subject
Had this been a male actor speaking about how they were more intrigued to sign up for a role because they would get the opportunity to kiss another male actor that was good looking, would it be creepy then? Would it be strictly laughed off as silliness even if perhaps in his heart of hearts that HAD been his only motive? Would the scene just been 'an act' simply because it was done on-screen? So you're implying that actors are less creepy when they giggle about signing up to do a film simply because X of the opposite sex would be possibly have a kissing scene with them? I mean, I do feel as though I'm missing something here.
