Laura Ingalls Wilder was my jam growing up. I recently bought the entire bookset to reread. What is your favorite book in the series?

Yesssss... I have this adorable blue boxset that I've had since I was a kid. I honestly don't think I could pick a favourite but am also now realizing I haven't read them in about 20 years and I suddenly really want to reread them all.

I read those books to pieces growing up. I honestly don't even know which one was my favorite, though I definitely didn't like The First Four Years as much, because it made me sad. All the books had so many details that I loved.
I remember once, years ago, going to one of those old-timey reconstructed towns, and I saw a candle-maker there, and I recognized it based on the description from the book. The tour guide was impressed.

I didn't have to shovel today, but the other day this was what I faced. It was not fun. I had to leave for work at 5:45 in the morning to shovel and get there for 7:45.



Each time I have to deal with snow, I remind myself that I put up with it so I don't have to deal with heat in the summer. I hate the heat more than I hate the snow.

I can definitely empathize with you.

Anyone ever just get the urge to watch something you know is terrible, but you still find entertaining? I was flipping through my dvds and found The Core. Terrible movie, not sure why I bought it, but I had the urge to watch.

Small things that irk you

in fic, irl, anywhere, anytime, what IRKS you?

I just realized when grown ass characters "giggle" in a fic, I grow incredibly irritated. Especially if it's during an intimate/ romantic moment or whenever really. Am I supposed to take it seriously? Chuckle, laugh lightly, softly, what have you, but do not fucking giggle if you are an adult and expect me to go a long with it. URGH!!!
