Ugh, yes.

Review/Analysis of Enterprise's "Horizon"

Mayweather swings by to visit his family's cargo ship, and learns the truth to the saying "You can't go home again". At least this time they're doing it in space...?

Ugh, I hate those damn things. I get them on my boobs or around the crotch region and they hurt like hell. Hot compress and wait till it pops, which it will usually do on its own, eventually. When it does, gently squeeze as much goo out as you can (which will also hurt), wash it with mild soap and water, dab some antibiotic ointment on it and put a light bandage over. Repeat as long as it's still open, because those little bastards can re-infect and swell up all over again. :(

Or if it's really big, your GP can lance it. I've also had that done and it's not fun but it works and at least it'll be safer than trying to do it yourself. My GP also gave me a prescription for antibiotics to take.

Purity culture and virtue signalling, to the point where they're just throwing random labels onto characters to score woke points and prove how very unproblematic they are, and then attacking anyone who disagrees by making callout posts and accusing them of pedophilia/transphobia/aphobia/being a rape apologist or actual rapist. Stuff like:
"Harry Potter is Indian and Hermione is black, and if you disagree then delete yourself."
"Danny Fenton is canonically trans. Sorry, I don't make the rules. uwu uwu oooowoooo"
"Janeway is demi-gender poly pansexual and in a relationship with Chakotay, who is a trans-masculine poly-romantic demisexual, and Seven, who is agender bisexual homo-romantic. Cishets don't interact."
"Friendly reminder that [insert screenname here] is an actual pedophile because they ship Kataang."
"[insert screenname here] has a bad Steven Universe headcanon and is evil, but you should definitely not dogpile or dox them. *wink*"

Thank you. Yeah, I hope it getting bigger is just a precursor to it opening so I can sleep, lol. I haven't taken a sick day at this job yet so hopefully my boss will give me a bit of slack for it if needed.

Still unsure. I definitely don't want to give birth ever, but I'm a lesbian so maybe my partner would, or adoption is an option. But I really don't know. I'm beginning to reach an age where people seem to start making up their minds about that (mid 20s) but I still haven't, and tbh if there's any decision I want to take the time to think about, it's this.

Thank you so much, and I'm sorry you suffer with them as well! I had a couple smaller ones in the exact same spot on the other hip a year or two ago and a large one on my inner thigh (which ended up popping by itself an hour before my appointment and I had a little happy cry). :( I just feel disgusting right now, I don't get why I keep getting them. I shower every day (sometimes twice if work has been really busy/dirty) and they always come in around the hip area. Ugh.

Thanks again for the advice. I think my partner thinks I'm exaggerating it but oh my god it's so uncomfortable.

I just Googled them and I love how the little leaflet with all the flavours has "naturally and artifically flavoured," right above the vomit one. :>

Personally, I know far more women who have no interest in having children than I do women who want them. I'm in my mid-thirties now and I'd say only maybe a quarter of my high school classmates at most have kids or have expressed any sort of interest in having them. Most of us are perfectly content without them.

They are truly vile. And of course since they're jelly beans they stick in your teeth so it's even harder to get rid of them. :( Much regret.

Re: From secret #1

(Anonymous) 2018-01-28 04:04 am (UTC)(link)
Nope, I've known since I was 13 that I never wanted them and I'm 34 now and I still don't want them. I hate kids and I hate being around them because I just don't have the patience for them. They drive me crazy after about five minutes.

Re: From secret #1

(Anonymous) 2018-01-28 04:06 am (UTC)(link)
Agreed. Kids are a huge commitment and people shouldn't have them if they aren't 100% sure that they really, really want them. That's how you end up with miserable kids with parents who resent their existence. My mom used to work in a school so I've seen it firsthand and it's really fucking sad.

I'd be down for that Voyager fic (if I understood what half of those labels meant... beyond "threesome, yay!")

I'm cishet, though... I probably wouldn't be allowed. Unless I can get a pass for being bi?

(Anonymous) 2018-01-28 04:15 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah. And it becomes rushed all of a sudden because the writers are going "Oh crap, we need to set up why the character is pregnant all of a sudden because the actress is, so lets add a plot about them wanting a kid!"

It's rushed because most of these pregnancies aren't planned and the producers aren't thinking about "Will my leading characters get pregnant and thus force the show to be about kids?"

Popcorn is literally the only jelly belly flavor that I like.

(Anonymous) 2018-01-28 04:20 am (UTC)(link)
Depends on the series. Phantom Blood is pretty meh, Battle Tendency is far and away the best one that's been animated so far, Stardust Crusaders is really strong but it does drag in quite a few places, and Diamond is Unbreakable starts strong but really starts petering out about halfway through.

You'll have to be down with Araki's ultra-butch designs, but they grow on you. It can get pretty violent, but never so over the top it's grotesque.

So basically: I recommend Battle Tendency and Stardust Crusaders. Battle Tendency if you want something a little more goofy, Stardust Crusaders if you want a little more lore and seriousness.

Yeah I've had so many coworkers pull the, "You'll change your mind!" card and I'm like, dude, I'm 34, I'm not a teenager...

I fucking love the popcorn flavour. <3

Gates McFadden was pregnant during TNG's run. They used strategic placements like putting her behind objects like high-back chairs and consoles to hide her baby bump, wardrobe decisions, and camera angles to hide it so they wouldn't have to write a pregnancy storyline for Crusher. There is also CG.

The movie naturally didn't include everything in the book. Having read it, I think there's plenty of evidence to support it. I'm not sure Tommy necessarily has a sexual attraction to Greg, but he's absolutely jealous with his time and attention.
