173. I think it's a case of everyone not realizing Shirley wasn't that bad until she was gone. I'm actually kinda surprised people hate Rolo so much for offing a rival love interest (seriously, I thought the Lulu/C.C. and Lulu/Kallen shippers were gonna throw him a parade for getting her "out of the way"), but I guess it's more of people realizing how much she meant to Lelouch. If Lelouch just shrugged off Shirley's death (or at the very least, didn't freak out), I think people wouldn't have reacted so strongly to her death.

Regardless, I don't give a shit about Lelouch so I felt more sorry for Shirley. 8( She never had a chance anyway.

132 - For me, it's not an issue about potentially being traumatized by any subject, it's the plain fact that certain things just plain don't interest me, or I find ridiculous - or both - and I'd hate to waste my time. I'm jut as likely to be annoyed with unwarned ships that I can't stand, as (i.e) bondage (although, yawn).

Have you ever been in certain moods to read (or not read) specific genres? Some of us in fandom don't have 24 hours a day to spend screening stories for subjects that interest/bother/bore us.

Did you even watch the show? You're right in that, for the first eight episodes, he was filled with Kamina. And then he spent the next two and a bit episodes trying to be Kamina, to try and fill the void Kamina's death left. But then in episode eleven, he stopped letting Kamina define him; He stopped trying to be Kamina, just decided to become himself, Simon the Digger. And after that, I've got no idea what you're talking about. He wanted to help Nia, for sure, but he wasn't a hanger-on of her personality, like he was with kamina. Shit, if anyone was clinging to someone's coat-tails, it was Nia.

TL;DR: Canon says your interpretation is ridiculous.
